CRUISE SHIP INFORMATION
(OBTAINED FOR WIKIPEDIA.COM)
Carnival Pride is a Spirit-class cruise ship that was built by Kvaerner Masa-Yards in Helsinki.
She is owned by Carnival Corporation & PLC and operated by Carnival Cruise Lines. She has
1,062 staterooms; eighty percent of the staterooms have ocean views and eighty percent of those
have private balconies. The Carnival Pride is currently home ported in Baltimore, where
Carnival has a three year contract with the Port. Carnival Pride also served as the flagship for
Carnival Cruise Lines until the Carnival Magic succeeded the title.
Current and former voyages
From 2002 to March 2009, the Carnival Pride sailed year-round cruises from Long Beach,
California to the Mexican Riviera. The Carnival Splendor has since replaced her on those
voyages.
On March 22, 2009, she sailed a Panama Canal voyage ending in Miami, Florida, and sailed
Caribbean cruises out of that port until April 2009.
Since April 2009, Carnival Pride was the first ship to sail year-round Bahamas/Caribbean
cruises out of Baltimore, Maryland. As of 2013, she is based out of that port.
From Baltimore, she also sailed a two day cruise to nowhere without making any port of call.
This cruise was from November 2 to 4, 2012, as a result of canceling an October departure due
to closed port traffic after Hurricane Sandy.
In October 2014 Carnival Pride entered dry dock for scrubber installation and cosmetic
upgrades. These upgrades include Guy’s Burger Joint; Blue Iguana Cantina and Blue Iguana
Tequila Bar; Bonsai Sushi; EA Sports Bar; Hasbro The Game Show, and Water Works, a water
slide and spray park. Proceeding it will sail out of Tampa until returning to Baltimore in March
2015.
Entertainment and activities
The ship features a dance club, an adult-only pool, a retracting roof pool, a 72-foot-long
waterslide, three play areas for kids, and two places for performances as well as shops, an art
gallery, live music, a video arcade, and a casino.
Dining
Dining options include signature dining in David's Steakhouse (located on Deck 10 of the ship),
casual dining in the Normandie restaurant (located on Deck 2 of the ship), a coffee bar, a chef's
table or specifically called the Lido Deck (located on Deck 9 of the ship) and 24-hour room

a citizen of the United States, they must contact their Local Immigration office to determine what
paperwork they will need. Any person not having the necessary travel documents will not be allowed to
board the ship and will not receive a refund for their cruise. Passports are not required for cruises
leaving us ports, but cruisersmust have original Birth Certificate and state ID or Drivers License. It is

each individual prior to arrival at the port.
FUNPASS CHECK-IN.
After you receive your cruise documents, it is strongly suggested that you register on-line with

each guest under your reservation payment balance reaches $350.00 Per Person multiple occupancy
and $600.00 single occupancy. In order to register on-line, you will need your Individual Booking

MEDICAL SERVICES.
The ships infirmaries are equipped to treat minor non-emergency matters. A doctor is available to
render services at a customary charge. Doctors are independent contractors. Groups are encouraged to
bring their own health history/medical forms for each person in the group.
SPECIAL NEEDS.
Carnival seeks, to the extent feasible; to accommodate guests with special needs so they are able to
enjoy their ships and other facilities. For example, service animals are permitted onboard ship if prior
arrangements have been made at time of booking. In situations where a guest with special needs, such
as a guest in a wheelchair, would be unable to be comfortably accommodated due to vessel barriers and
other criteria, they may find it necessary to ask the guest to bring along a companion to assist or make
alternative arrangements.
SPECIAL DIETS.
Special diet requirements may be requested at least two weeks prior to sailing. You should discuss the
method of preparation of menu items with your waiter or headwaiter. There may be limitations in
carnival’s ability to accommodate special orders. Kosher meals are not available.
SHIP RULES.
We want your cruise to be a pleasant experience for everyone. The following rules must be enforced.
Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the offender(s) being removed from the ship to

used in the event of an emergency. Rates are the same for calling ship to shore. Calling Cards may not

cruise during embarkation day, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring on board one bottle

considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.
