Happy New Year!!
We rung in the 2014 with a New
Moon, a fresh start and a sign this
year is full of potential and ripe
with opportunities. I’m ready to
seize them and I hope you are too!
One way to share with the
universe your hopes is through a
vision board. I spoke of these last
month and on New Year’s Eve my
husband and I created ours (check
me out on Instagram to see ours).
Amazingly, within 24 hours some
of the goals depicted already
began changing from a dream to
a reality proof that manifestation
doesn’t take long… it just takes
intent and faith. That being said if
you haven’t created your vision
board yet, please do! Or join me
on January 23rd and create one
then. Once you do, please share –
I’d love to see!

STOP SAYING “II CAN’T”
CAN’T
One of my favorite adages is, “Thoughts become your
words. Words become your actions. Actions become your
beliefs. And ultimately your beliefs become your reality.”
This adage is the premise of the Law of Attraction,
Attraction or “like
attracts like.”
Since the release of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne in 2006,
the Law of Attraction has gained a great deal of notoriety.

Proponents of the Law of Attraction,, including myself,
believe that the words and energy you put toward a
situation manifests the outcome. Therefore, if you believe
you can’t do something – you won’t be able to. On the
other hand,, if you believe can do something – it is likely
that you WILL.
Unfortunately in our society
that fears failure, we are
more likely to believe we
can’t achieve our goals than
we can. This is a challenge
as due to this many of us
tend to be noncommittal in
our words and actions. It is
not uncommon to often
hear people say things like,
“I’ll try, but I’m not going to
guarantee it’s going to work”
or “I’m going to apply, but I don’t think I’m qualified.”
Unfortunately, by leaving the door open for failure in this
manner,, it is less likely you will achieve your
you full potential.
Fortunately, with a few simple pointers you can change
your words thus changing your mind and your outcomes
creating a habit of success rather than defeat.
Here are my tips for living a life of success using the Law of
Attraction:
1) Stop before the “but”
2) Stop using passive verbs like “I’ll try”
3) Receive compliments graciously – don’t say, “oh it
was nothing” rather just say “thank you!”
4) Find the silver lining
Try it for a month, you’ll be surprised on how it changes

Paulo Coelho is by far one of my
favorite authors. He has an uncanny
ability to weave a story wrought with
emotion that changes the reader’s
perception of his/her life. In his latest
novel, Manuscript Found in Accra, he
has done this again.
Set in Jerusalem in 1099, the city
awaits invasion by the crusaders. In
anticipation of battle and defeat, all
the townspeople, regardless of their
creed, gather in the town square for
words of wisdom from the astute Copt.
Through his words of love, faith,
purpose and courage, the Copt instilled
a sense of inspiration and hope.
The hope came from the realization
that each individual had the choice to
live in love or fear as only through fear
could one truly be defeated. I
encourage, you while reading this
book, to evaluate how you approach
your own battles in life. If you find you
often respond in fear, perhaps this
book will assist you in finding the love.
