• Union Hand-Roasted has launched a new range of
four whole bean coffees to retailers. These coffees have
been chosen to provide a range of taste profiles, from
light to dark styles, and a mix of blends and single estates.
Developed for boutique delis, foodstores and independent
coffee shops, this new whole bean range is packaged in
the same distinct indigo coloured 227g packs as Union's
current ground cafetiere range but with a new label to
differentiate them. The RRPsare 0.75-£4.25, with a trade
list prices of £15.60-£16.95 for a case of 6 x 227g. All
Union coffee is directly traded in a sustainable manner with
prices paid to farmers above the Fairtrade standard.

• Made from slow roasted I 00% high-grade Arabica
coffee, Little's new Premium instant coffees come in four
varieties: Kenyan, Espress, Colombian, and Decaffeinated.
Their launch follows little's flavoured instant coffees
launched three years ago and builds on the company's
brand principle that, given the right beans, roasted with
care, instant coffee can be "unrecognisably good". The
50g jars carry a wholesale price of £ I .40 and have a
RRP of between 0.35 and 0.85. The company is also
celebrating the sale of its millionth jar of flavoured instant
coffee, which MD Henry Little says shows instant coffee
has become a viable speciality line. ~ www.littlesltd.com
