Preparing to upgrade
It is highly recommended that you backup your existing SafeConsole install before
performing the upgrade process.
1. Stop SafeConsole service
2. Zip up the existing SafeConsole folder and move it to a safe location.

Running the SafeConsole 5.0 Installation
1. Run the SafeConsole 5.0 installer package.
2. After installation has completed, close out of the Configurator program and
confirm the exit message.

3. Browse Windows Explorer to the old 4.7 install location and copy these items:
a. cert (folder)
b. db (folder)
c. keystore.p12 (file)
d. SafeConsole.ini (file)
4. Browse to the 5.0 install location and paste the items that were copied.

5. Run the SafeConsole 5.0 Configuration program.
6. At the first screen you may choose to enter the primary Administrator email. This
email will be used for the new SafeConsole Administrator profile which features 2factor authentication and customizable Admin portals.

7. At that point you may click continue to proceed with the configuration. All the
old 4.7 configurations will be imported. After completing the configuration
wizard, you will arrive at the new SafeConsole 5.0 interface.
