German Bienenstich-buttermilk-cake
The shopping is done. There are all
ingredients for the cake.
Ingredients dough:
3 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 1 packet of baking
powder, 2 cups of buttermilk
Ingredients topping:
250g of butter, 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk,
two cups of chopped almonds
Combine flour, sugar, buttermilk and baking powder
together in a bowl. Whisk the mixture with a
handheld mixer.
Grease the baking tray.
Pour the mixture onto the baking tray.
Preheat the oven to 200°C and put the baking tray
into it. Bake the cake for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the topping.
Put the butter, sugar, milk and chopped almonds into
a frying pan and cook.
Stir the mixture constantly.
Take the cake out of the oven.
Spread the mixture onto the cake.
Continue baking the cake for about 10-15
minutes.
It just smells fantastic.
