Required Environmental Commission Action
Election of Officers – Laura Forsman
The Operating Procedures of the Environmental Commission note, “Members shall elect a
Chair and Vice Chair. The elected officer shall serve for one year or for successive terms
if reelected. Election of officers shall take place at the January Commission Meeting.” The
current Vice-Chair is Roger Richardson.
Land Use Plan Map Amendment O2015-001LUPA and General Development Plan
O2015-001GDP
The Environmental Commission is reviewing this item under the authority granted by the
County Board. The Commission’s role in this land use plan amendment and general
development plan is to determine if the environmental checklist is complete, and to add
any relevant comments or suggestions. The EC’s role is advisory both to the Olmsted
County Planning Advisory Commission and the Olmsted County Board.
The attached checklist was completed by the applicant for the proposed land use plan
amendment and general development plan known as Lilly Estates. This application is
following the approval of a 2014 Land Use Plan Amendment (O2014-002LUPA).

Call to Order – Laura Forsman
Laura Forsman called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm.
• Approve Minutes of October 15, 2014 Meeting
Paul Wilson moved and Char Brown seconded the motion to approve the minutes.
Motion carried (8 Ayes, 0 Nays).
2.
Destination Medical Center – Heidi Mestad
Heidi Mestad, Mayo Clinic, presented information on the Destination Medical Center.
3.
Environmental Awards – Terry Lee
County staff presented information on the Environmental Awards Nominations.
Mark Hickey moved and Norman Senjem seconded the motion to approve all 8
nominations.
Motion carried (7Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Abstain).
4.
Round the Table
Char Brown mentioned the zone change and an information meeting in Olmsted County
on Monday November 24, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Ramada.
