The Buxton National Historic Site and museum puts special emphasis on the history and accomplishments

Travel Insurance: We highly recommend the purchase of TIC travel insurance. Insurance premiums are payable with your deposit.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 45 or more days before departure will receive a 100% refund of monies paid. Cancellations received 15-44 days
before departure will receive a 50% refund of monies paid. Cancellations received 0-14 days before departure will not receive a refund.
Documentation: Hotel lists, luggage tags and any other information pertaining to your tour will be mailed to you approximately 14 days prior to departure.
Baggage Handling: Limit of 1 large suitcase per person will be carried under the bus. One small tote bag per person can be place in the overhead racks. You are
responsible for the handling of any carry-on luggage.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited on our coaches. Frequent stops will be made.
Currency: All prices shown are per person in Canadian funds.
Proof of Citizenship: You now require a passport to enter the United States. Non-Canadian citizens should check their consulate for accurate and timely information on required documentation. PLEASE NOTE: We are not responsible for individuals denied entry into Canada or the U.S. by border officials and are not
responsible for providing transportation back home.
Developmentally Physically Challenged Passengers: Must be accompanied by a companion of their choice who is able to administer any necessary assistance.
Some tours may present difficulties for the physically challenged. Walkers and wheelchairs can be stowed under the bus. Maxey Travel is unable to supply
wheelchairs.
Accommodation: Accommodation is included on all tours. Room assignments are always done by the hotel in an impartial fashion. Therefore, if you have special
requests, please let us know at time of booking and we will inform the hotels. It cannot always be done, but the hotels will try to accommodate to the best of their
ability. All hotel rooms will be requested as non-smoking unless otherwise request at time of booking.

The Waterfalls of Wentworth County

Hamilton/Wentworth County is known as the waterfalls capital of the world, with over 100 waterfalls within the
city’s limits alone! We visit a number of the better known falls beginning with Darnley Cascade, a cascade
waterfall measuring 4 metres high, located at Crooks Hollow Conservation Area. Next up is Webster’s Falls, a curtain waterfall 22 metres in height located in Spencer Gorge. Baby Webster’s Falls is a complex ribbon
waterfall we will visit along the way to the main Webster’s Falls. We also pay a visit to the Devil’s Punchbowl
which showcases two separate falls, the Lower Falls is a ribbon waterfall and the Upper Falls is a classical
waterfall. Ancaster Creek is the source for Sherman Falls, a 17 metre high curtain waterfall and is also known
as Angel Falls or Fairy Falls. Our final visit for our day is the premier waterfall in the area, Albion Falls , a
complex classic cascade waterfall 19 metres in height (Please note that sites visited are subject to change).

Deposit: In order to make a reservation, a deposit of $25.00 per person, per trip is required. Overnight Adventures require a deposit of $50.00 per person.
Mastercard, Visa, cash or cheque are accepted for deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.
Full Payment: Final payment is due in the Maxey Family Adventures office 30 days prior to trip departure date by cash, cheque, Visa or Mastercard. Once
final payment has been received, trip cost is 100% non-refundable. Should an adventurer be unable to join the trip, another adventurer may take their place,
with no change charge.
Trip Guarantee: Adventures are not guaranteed departures. Should minimum numbers of the adventure not be met, the adventure maybe cancelled by Maxey
Family Adventures and a full refund issued.
Responsibility: Maxey Family Adventures acts solely as an organizer and is responsible for making arrangements and chartering transportation as out-lined
in the tour brochure. It is understood by the adventurer that Maxey Family Adventures is not responsible for any non-performance by the outfitter of each
adventure. Maxey Family Adventures reserves the right to decline any adventure’s’ participation in any adventure, before or during each adventure if that
person’s participation is determined to be detrimental to the interests, comfort or safety of other adventurers.
Physical Ability: Most of Maxey Family Adventures are active day trips and require a degree of physical ability. The final decision as to an adventure’s ability to
participate in any physical activities will rest solely with the Maxey Family Adventure’s Adventure Leader in consultation with the outfitter.
Liability: Maxey Family Adventures and it’s outfitters assume no liability for any physical or mental injuries that occur during any of its adventures.
