Orchestra
“The Engineers Band” Entertainment Orchestra
The orchestra, actually set up as a big band but with unusual for this kind of ensemble string and
woodwind sections, gave its first concert on April, 2006. Since that time band has played many
concerts, which can be read on its website (www.engineersband.pl), in Concert tab.
The performances of the Band are visibly varied - from conferences through concerts and
open-air events to ceremonials. The repertoire performed is a derivative of the event.
The repertoire is one of the most characteristic features of formation - from the balroom dances
to the jazz and popular music from the charts - orchestrated in a glamorous and interesting
way complements an atmosphere of prestigious events.
Year and a half after the debut it was easly to notice that the performances on the periodical
events resulted in successive cooperation offers.
Extraordinary ambitious approach of musicians quickly transformed The Engineers Band into an
actual situation. Semi-professional, experiency-growing popularity orchestra with fans, reliable
administrative infrastructure (own rehearsal room, capability to make out invoices) and a broad
repertoire.
The Bands’ sound condition is carefully supported by Eurosound Professional Live Sound
(www.euro-sound.pl).

Technical requirements
These guidelines define the optimal settings and may be modified in whole or in part, after consulting with the
leadership of The Engineers Band
P.A.
We prefer electronic amplification system made by: Meyer Sound, JBL, SLS Acoustics, D&B or EV.
The PA system should be matched in terms of power with the building, sqare and the number of people. This system must be
placed in such a way so as to cover the audience with sound evenly. In case of big and wide stages it is necessary to ues
close-field Front-Fill.
FOH console:
Minimum 48-channel consolewith four point parameter correction on each channel and Phantom power avaible.
The mixer should have at least 4 stereophonic subgroups and 4 AUX outputs with one AUX Pre output. (We
prefer MIDAS console or Soundcraft excluding the SPIRIT series consoles). The mixer sumshould be inserted with
a third-octave graphic eqalizer Klark Teknik DN-360, Rane GE 30 or DBX 2231.
Dynamic multi-effects processors – FOH:

DRAWMER DS 201 x 2
Yamacha SPX 2000 lub SPX 1000 x 1
T.C Electronic M-ONE XL x 1
Lexicon MPX 550 x 1
MONITOR SYSTEM
The monitor system should consist of 11 floor-standing monitors (by SLS Acoustics or Turbosound) linked into 6 tracks (see:
stage plan). With big stages the Side-Fill should be applied (by SLS Acoustics or Meyer Sound).
Monitor console:
Minimum 40-channel console (prefered consoles by MIDAS, Soundcraft) with four point parameter correction on
each channel, which enables creating six monitor tracks inserted with six 31 band third-octave graphic equalizer
of Rane, DBX or Klark Teknik class.
Dynamic processor – FOH:
1. BSS DPR 402 x 2
2. DRAWMER MX 40
Both sound and monitor systems should be installed, run and checked before the Orchestra’s arrival by technical staff about
two hours before planned rehersal.
