When a Florida television station turned to Kim Hester at JNR Incorporated, a leading provider of incentive travel programs, looking for an exciting destination for a customer
incentive trip, Kim recommended the Principality of Monaco without hesitation. The goal
of the television station was to drive incremental ad sales revenue and strengthen their relationships with advertisers, increasing customer loyalty. "Monaco is a proven winner!" said
Hester, who explained that "incentive programs can enjoy an incredible variety of experiences in Monaco and the surrounding areas in France and Italy. History, great shopping, sizzling nightlife and a glamorous ambience all make Monaco an ideal spot for a truly memorable trip." The group also found the Fairmont Monte Carlo's offer of a package priced in
guaranteed U.S. dollars too good to pass up, and an excellent hedge against currency fluctuation. A welcome dinner in the newly remodeled roof-top venue at the Fairmont Monte Carlo provided the perfect backdrop for the group's introduction to Monaco, with breathtaking views of the coastline in all directions. The
next day, a tour of Old Town included the changing of the guard ceremony at the palace, followed by a delightful
afternoon exploring the charming cliff-top village of Eze. That evening, the group boarded a private yacht and
cruised down the coast at sunset, admiring the palatial seaside homes as they enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres,
followed by dinner at a renowned gourmet restaurant in Villefranche. Other highlights of their Monaco experience
included tours of Nice and Cannes, a wine tasting at exclusive Chateau de Cremat and shopping in the markets of San
Remo, Italy. Their final night in Monaco started off with a private after-hours tour of the Prince's Palace, and then
moved on to La Mandarine Restaurant for a champagne reception and dinner overlooking the magnificent yachts in
Monaco Harbor. A true "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" moment! But the program was not quite finished
yet…..the group spent two nights enjoying the serenity and beautiful landscapes of Provence, which provided a distinct contrast to bustling Monaco. An evening in the village square of the hilltop town of Mougins with breathtaking
views of the Alps provided the quintessential Provence experience. Tours of St. Paul de Vence and the Fragonard perfume factory in Grasse further delighted the attendees. The trip ended with a magical night of rich French food and
fine wines at Le Clos des Arts, a highly rated restaurant and cooking school with a superb view of St. Paul de Vence
and the Mediterranean Sea. A stunning electric violin duo performed, bringing the crowd to their feet for multiple
standing ovations and then kept them dancing well into the night for the perfect finale. The television station exceeded their revenue goals for the trip and the "buzz" after the program was that Monaco and Provence delivered an
unforgettable, world-class incentive experience!

Hotel Updates
A New Conference Room at the Hôtel Hermitage
The Hôtel Hermitage, built in 1900, has the charm and
elegance of a beautiful manor upon which time has not
taken hold. Located just off the Place du Casino, the historic Belle Epoque property has been thoughtfully
maintained while preserving its magic. In May 2010, the
Winter Garden lobby originally designed by Gustave
Eiffel and dedicated to group check-in, will reveal its
latest spectacular make-over by renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. The hotel's other six
meeting rooms are also being refurbished. Finally, to meet the expectations of our respected professional partners
in luxury business travel, the Hôtel Hermitage will offer a new "grande salle" to accommodate up to 340 guests
theater-style and 260 guests for sit-down functions. The decor envisioned by Rochon remains in perfect harmony
with the hotel's serene ambience: a painting covering the entire back wall recreates a lush, green garden. This new
space will be unveiled in January, 2011. Combined with the sumptuous Salle Belle Epoque and with up to 200
sleeping rooms available for groups, the Hôtel Hermitage is setting ever-higher world-class standards for incentive
programs and meetings. www.montecarloresort.com.

Zest Monaco, the New Gourmet Hot Spot
Located along the famous Monaco harbor overlooking the yachts and the
"Rock" where the Prince's Palace stands, Zest is one of the latest additions
of the new outdoor cafes and restaurants along the harbor. Zest features a
caviar bar and a live music lounge with a decor that mixes baroque and
modern styles. The trendy restaurant offers a gastronomic menu using seasonal products and inspired by French and Italian cuisines. Some of the signature dishes are homemade ravioli stuffed with foie gras and white truffles,
and lamb chops with asparagus au gratin. Zest Monaco also provides a highend catering service and a fine-food boutique offering exquisite gastronomic products including a variety of caviars
and gourmet gift baskets. Zest can be privatized for 300 people for a cocktail reception and 150 people for a sitdown dinner. The terrace, open July through October, can seat 250 people for dinner and 500 people for a cocktail
reception. "Live Cooking" demonstrations can also be arranged for small groups of 16 people. Contact Anna

The Black Legend, a Tribute to Motown Music
The Principality of Monaco welcomed its latest night spot last October. With
a Motown music theme, the Black Legend's opening featured the much-celebrated groups, The Supremes and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. The
Black Legend is an innovative concept: a restaurant, bar, lounge, live music
venue and nightclub all in one. It offers a musical atmosphere with live
Motown entertainment early in the evening and transforms later at night
into a nightclub. The cuisine is a tasteful fusion of American and
Mediterranean flavors. The decor recreates a New York ambiance with black
enameled bricks and finished bronze, comfortable seating, large pictures celebrating the 1970s, and a bar with
multiple mirrors highlighted by a colorful backdrop of bottles. It's located right on the harbor of Monaco, a few
blocks from the famous Yacht Club. The Black Legend can be privatized from Monday through Wednesday for 500
people in the nightclub, 350 people for cocktail receptions and 140 people for sit-down dinners. Contact Alexia
Merle at (377) 93 30 09 09 or via email at [email protected] and visit www.black-legend.com.
