Stolen Car Chase
Ends in Central
On Sunday BR Police
officers chased a reportedly stolen
2004 Nissan Titan from North
Foster Drive into Central. The
chase ended with the assistance
of EBR Sheriff’s Deputies who
were able to force the vehicle
off the Greenwell Springs Road
using a nail strip.
The driver, Quadall Clark
of Baton Rouge, fled the scene
and was taken down by a BRPD
Police K-9, who held Quadall
until officers reached him and
took him into custody. Clark
was booked into Parish Prison
for unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle, resisting arrest and
fleeing from the police.
An EBR Sheriff Deputy
apprehended the passenger,
Derrick Brown of Baton Rouge,
who was treated for minor
injuries from the vehicle crash at
the scene and booked into Parish
Prison.
Car Crashes into Capalli Salon CHS Basketball
on Sports Central
Guest Host Les Bueche
is joined this week by Wildcat
Basketball players and their
coach Ron Lewis. Stop by or
tune in and get the inside story
of CHS Basketball. Tune to 910
AM or the TuneIn Radio App
every Thursday at 5PM for Sports
Central, Central’s only weekly
radio show, broadcast live from
Coaches Grill.
Last Thursday an elderly customer left Capalli Salon, made an immediate
U-turn on Sullivan Road and came to a stop after striking the south corner
of the building. The driver, who reportedly sustained no major injury, was
treated at the scene and taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Regional Veteran’s Park to
Be Constructed in Zachary
The newly formed Regional
Veterans Park Association is pleased
to announce plans for a Veterans
Park to honor the courage and
sacrifice of those who served or are
serving in the armed forces of the
United States of America.
The Regional Veterans Park
will be constructed on the fitness
trail located behind Lane Regional
Medical Center and will provide
the citizens of the Zachary region
a place to remember and thank
those veterans who committed
themselves to protecting our rights
and freedoms.
At the entrance of the park,
a 12 foot high metal archway will
showcase the emblems of all military
branches. These six branches, Army,
Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps,
Coast Guard and Merchant Marine,
will also appear on park benches
placed along the trail. The focal
point of the park will be the Wall
of Veterans featuring brick pavers
engraved with the names and service
information of local veterans.
Construction of the park will
be funded by annual membership
dues of $25 per person, the sale
of bricks for the Wall of Veterans
at $100 each, and from local
businesses and individuals who
provide sponsorship dollars and/or
in-kind donations.
