Baseball Commissioner Allan (Bud) Selig was chosen unanimously by the Major
League Baseball club owners in 1998. He led the way to many of baseball’s structural
changes including Wild Card Playoffs, and Interleague Play. His leadership was crucial
to Major League Baseball achieving all-time highs in regular season attendance for
the last seven years and a five-fold increase in revenues to $7 billion in 2010.
