BAPTISMAL PREPARATION
Our Baptismal Preparation sessions are held on the Third Monday of
each month at 6:30 PM in the Narthex of the Church.
We would encourage parents to attend this gathering prior to the birth
of their child. At this time, life is a little less hectic than when trying to
adjust to a new family member and sleepless nights.
It is important for both parents to be a part of this preparation for Baptism. Therefore if you work the night shift please let us know and another time will be set up with the team coordinator.
Because the role of Godparents is important in helping to share, support and nurture your child’s growth in faith, they are most welcome to
attend with you.

“...but after me one is coming, the sandals of whose feet I am
not worthy to untie…” Acts 13:25
Stewardship is recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God. We
can take credit for nothing. Do you take time daily to thank God for the
gifts you have received? Do you show gratitude to God every day? Are
you generous without expecting anything in return?

School Office Hours: The school office will not have regular office hours over the summer; however,
messages will be checked several times a week. If you need to reach someone in the office, please call
the rectory.
SCRIP will be available during the summer in the rectory, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
noon, and from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Ordering will be done on Mondays, so if you are in need of a large
amount, please let the rectory know by Monday morning. SCRIP will also be available after each Mass
on the weekends. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Kettle at 757-9533.
Register now: Registrations are still being accepted for the 2012-13 school year. If you know of someone who is interested, they can leave a message on the office phone, 755-5184 or email Mrs. Rebout at
[email protected].
Our Faith Formation year has come to an end and we thank all those who helped us this past year.
We will continue taking registrations through the summer . Registration forms can either be mailed
to or dropped at the rectory with your deposit of $40.00. Many of our catechists are returning for the
2012-13 school year, but we are in need of catechists for fifth grade .
I want to thank all the great volunteers that helped make our Vacation Bible school a success. Our
volunteers came from St Joseph’s in Edgerton, St. Mary’s in Milton, St. John Vianney , Nativity of
Mary and St. William of Janesville. Everybody worked together as we shared God’s word.
A special thank you to Larry Langer for making our Babylon Arch and Best Events for donating 250
hotdogs for our Vacation Bible School celebration on Friday June 15th.
Tap Into Theology
All young adults in their 20's and 30's
Kris Kranenburg will be speaking for Tap Into Theology on Thursday, June 28th, on “The Second Vatican Council: What
Happened?” The evening begins at 7 p.m. at the Speakeasy, 19 N
High Street in Janesville.
Some people love Vatican II. Some people hate Vatican II. Yet very
few people have actually read the history or writings of the Council.
This presentation explores the The Second Vatican Council's purpose, documents, and the inside story of what really happened.
Kris Kranenburg is on the faculty of the Diocese of Madison's Seat of
Wisdom Diocesan Institute. She has a Master of Theological Studies
degree from Ave Maria University and teaches at the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kris has worked with parishes and Catholic
schools on websites, faith formation, and communication. She lives
in Janesville, Wisconsin and is blessed with a wonderful husband and
two amazing children.
Married, single, practicing your faith or not practicing your faith, all
are welcome! This is a great opportunity to enrich your faith and
form fellowship with other young adults.
Drinks will be provided. Dinner may be ordered. If you have any questions, contact
Jeff by phone at 262-366-3542, or email at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
SAVE THESE DATES FOR OUR PICTORIAL DIRECTORY
Do you ever see parishioners during services and wonder what their names are?
Have you heard an announcement regarding a parishioner and wished you could
put a face with the name? Are you a new parishioner and wish you had something
to help you identify with other parishioners? Help is on the way!
We are doing a pictorial directory. There is no cost to our church or to have your
photograph taken, and you will receive a complementary 8 x 10 portrait and directory just for participating. We are partnering with Lifetouch to bring this directory to
our church.
The dates we have reserved are: November 13-17,November 29 and 30 and December 1.
These pictures will be available to you to see immediately after your sitting. The
portrait packages will be available for delivery before Christmas. They would make
an ideal Christmas present for your family.
We would like to encourage as many parishioners as possible to have their pictures
taken and at least receive the free 8 x 10 and the pictorial directory.
Reserve the dates!!!!!

2013 St. William Raffle
Calendar
We are putting together our 2013
Raffle Calendar, and, as you
know from the past years, this is
our school’s main fundraiser.
Remember a loved one in 2013
by adding a birthday or anniversary wish on our calendar (1 for
$10 or 3 for $25 printed on the
desired day), or add a memorial
spot for someone that has
passed away (for $50 a memorial
is printed along ½ of the bottom
of a desired month). If you have
a business that is able to sponsor, the business ad is placed on
the month you designate in a 2
¼” x 3 ¼” space for $150. It’s a
great way to advertise your
business or make someone feel
special or remember a loved one
who has passed away.
If you would like more information on sponsoring in any of
these ways, please contact Lisa
McDade (758-9979) or Lori
Green (752-2647). We appreciate your continued support!
Thank you!
