“Peace be with you”.
These are the familiar first words of Jesus to his disciples after the Resurrection.
Each time we gather to celebrate the Eucharist, we come face to face with the
Risen Christ. Our lives can and should be changed each time we celebrate the
Eucharist. We pray that we who receive the Body of Christ may become the
Body of Christ for the world.

PARISH RADIO PROGRAM has been broadcast for many years on
CKJS 810 AM Radio. Each month we must pay $1,333.00 to broadcast our
program which amounts to $16,000.00 annually. If we are not able to raise
the funds for this year, we will have to cancel our program which is
listened to by many, especially the sick and elderly and those who are not
able to be with us at our Eucharistic Celebrations. Thank you to:

hosting a Fundraiser Luncheon on Sunday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. at the Garden City

“RETURNING TO SPIRIT” SPECIAL COLLECTION—The
Archdiocese of Winnipeg is celebrating their Centennial at a special
Mass at the MTS Centre on May 3, 2015. As part of their outreach and as a
sign of our generosity, the Archbishop is asking parishes to take up a collection for
“Returning to Spirit” on the weekends of April 19 and 26. The Archbishop believes that there should be a good and practical work of charity attached
to their Centennial event. “Returning to Spirit” is a proven method that
brings reconciliation and new hope to all concerned and as they mark
their 100th Anniversary, we need to reach out to those in need as Pope
Francis encourages us. By making this collection a success, we will celebrate this Centennial in a truly significant way by reaching out, towards
our neighbour. Envelopes will be available in the Church.
Returning to Spirit is a non-profit charitable organization which aims to
bring about reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities. The mission of RTS is “to create a cultural bridge and give
everyone a chance to transform the negative legacy of the Residential
Schools, to one of empowerment and possibility.”
 Volunteers are need to serve at the Centennial Mass. Those interested are asked to call our office no later than April 18.
 A limited amount of tickets have been distributed to each parish.
Please call our office as soon as is possible if you are interested to
attend. Entrance to this event will not be possible without a ticket.
