The SKYBOY comes with a composite cabin
that can be enclosed and heated for comfortable
winter flying. The molded-in reclining seats are
designed to protect the occupants’ knees and
legs in the event of a hard landing. Landings are
easy, thanks to the shock absorber trailing link
tricycle landing gear and the steering nose wheel,
which makes it easy to control on rollout.
The wings and empennage are covered and
painted with aircraft type fabric and polyurethane
paint for long life, low maintenance and good
looks. Designed with safety in mind, this fine
aircraft also comes with a 4-point harness as
standard equipment.

History And Availability Of The Skyboy
Interplane Aircraft first exhibited the Skyboy at Sun ‘N Fun 2001, with a Rotax 912S
(upgrade from the standard Jabiru 2200A 85 hp engine) at Sun ‘N Fun 2001.
Prior to July, 2006, the Skyboy had been sold only as a kit, with almost 100 aircraft flying
in the United States.
Today, the Skyboy is fully test flown, certified SLSA N numbered, airworthied and is
available through LSA America, Inc. in Sanford, North Carolina as a Ready-To-Fly, factory
built aircraft.
Lead time on a factory built SLSA is now available on a 12-16 week schedule, FOB
Sanford, North Carolina.
