The Hon'ble Supreme Court has issued the following directions to prevent ragging in Technical Institutions :
"We recommended that every institution must have an Anti-Ragging Committee and an Anti-Ragging Squad. It
is essential to have a diverse mix of membership in terms of levels as well as gender in both the Anti-Ragging
Committee at the level of the Institution should consist of the representatives of civil and police administration,
local media, Non Governmental Organizations involved in youth activities, representatives of faculty members,
representatives of parents, representatives of students belonging to the fresher's category as well as seniors,
non-teaching staff and should be headed by the Head of the Institutions. The Anti-Ragging Squad, in contrast,
should be a body with vigil, oversight and patrolling functions and should appropriately be a smaller body which
should be nominated by the Head of the Institute with such representation as considered necessary to keep it
mobile, alert and active at all time. The Squad may be called upon to make surprise raids on hostels and other
hot sports and should work under the overall guidance of Anti-Ragging Committee. The Squad should not have
any outside representation and should only consist of members belonging to the various sections of the
campus community."
The Institute strictly complies with these directions and AICTE regulations in this regard.

The telecommunication sector continued to register significant growth during the years and has emerged as one of
the key sectors responsible for India's resurgent economic growth which is likely to contribute US$ 400 billion to the
country's gross domestic product (GDP). The country's telecom sector has received a cumulative foreign direct
investment (FDI) of USD 12,865 million in the last 13 years, which comprises 7 per cent of the total FDI inflows.
Moreover clarity on key issues of spectrum trading, refarming and mergers and acquisitions are some of the moves
that could bring in more investments.
The market has also undergone a substantial change in terms of mobile versus fixed line telecom and public versus
private participation. Participation of the private entities in the telecom sector is rapidly increasing rate thereby
presenting the enormous growth opportunities. India has over 50 per cent mobile-only internet users, possibly the
world's highest, compared to 20-25 per cent across developed countries (acc. to Avendus Capital). Driven by
increased adoption of 3G, fixed broadband, 4G service and growing numbers of smartphones, tablets and use of
social media apps, data will drive the revenue for this sector.
As far as future of Indian telecom industry is concerned the industry is going to face a lot of challenges like reducing
customer churn, implementation of Green Telecom and commoditization of telecom service. The changing
ecosystem in this industry will bring smarter network which will provide benefit to end-users, content providers,
application providers, technology providers, mobile operators and their vendors.
For the future telecom market, competent telecom managers are very much required who can understand telecom
operations from all perspectives, whether it is management or technical. For staffing the telecom industry, proficient

telecom managers are required who have a distinct grasp of the present telecom market and its future trends. So to
bridge the gap between technical and managerial knowledge, a complete telecom management course is required
to develop their cross functional skills for leadership roles by learning the latest telecom technologies like LTE,
WiMax, Cloud Computing, Mobile Money, Social Media, etc as well as entire telecom operations from overall
management angles like legal, regulatory and finance.
