SELF DEVELOPMENT & ATTITUDE OF WINNERS.
In today's fast changing economic environment, businesses have to maximize every asset, internal
and external, that they can leverage. The new millennium has seen many new op-opportunities
as well as new challenges in most sectors of business. With increased use of technology and
globalization initiatives, there is no limit to an individual’s success, which previously was confined
to mostly the shores of one’s nation. Along with such growth, it heralded stiffer competition and
more political and economic challenges under the guise of rapid development and globalization.
As a result only the best organizations can survive in this 21st century. Similarly the competition
to succeed depends on the best effort from leaders and individuals that make up an organization. Malaysia is one of the nations where there is a lot of thrust in this area of human resource development.
Seven recognized efforts and initiatives to succeed and win;
Goals
Preparation
Lifelong learning and adaption
Sacrifices
Self-fulfilling prophecy
Relationship
Integrity

THE TECHNOLOGY WAY TO RECRUIT PEOPLE
Recruitment is the process by which an organization attracts qualified applicants for any vacant
position by getting them to apply for the position using various means. Recruitment is the first
part of a multi-stage process that includes selection, offer of employment and actual induction of
the employees who have accepted the offer. Going through the process of recruitment enables
an organization to get first-hand information of the potential human resources available and increase its pool of employable people by accumulating the resumes of people collected through
the recruitment exercise. In a fast paced, dynamic world, where time and consequently cost are
of primary importance, usage of tools which will not only speed up this process but also make it
more efficient are critical to the success of the organization. This is where the Internet comes as a
godsend with its inherent benefits of speed, technology, ease of use, availability and the capacity to handle an extremely high volume of transactions.
