Sunday Family Programs
April 29 – Spring Butterfly Hunt*
All workshops begin promptly at 2:00 and 3:00pm, unless
otherwise specified. All workshops are free for members
and $3 per child for non-members in addition to entrance
fee. Space is limited. Please register at the front desk
before workshop begins.
As they search for butterflies throughout the Museum,
children will learn interesting facts about the lifecycle of
these colorful creatures.
March 4 – Costume Hunt *
Using colorful zippers, children can celebrate the women in
their lives by designing beautiful and creative bracelets.
All women free today in honor of Mother’s Day.
Celebrate Purim Zimmer style! Purim is a time to celebrate
and party. Come hunt for your favorite costumes and
masks and dress up for our grand parade at 4:00pm.
Free Museum admission for children who come in costume.
March 11 – Passport Day – India*
The Indian Holi Festival is known as the festival of color
and heralds the onset of the spring season. In this
workshop, families will listen to cultural music, create
beautiful art and enjoy delicious snacks.
March 25 – Flowerpots Abound
Spring is a time of renewal and growth. Help
beautify your environment by making glorious
spring flowers that you can take home.
SPECIAL EVENT
March 18 , 12:30 – 4:00 pm
Passover Mega-Festival
Join us as we get ready for Passover, the festival
of Freedom. To celebrate this special holiday our
Museum Festival will feature holiday music with
The Shirettes, theater performances led by
Andrew Zimmer, art, and face painting.
This Mega-Festival is made possible by a generous

May 13 – Mother’s Day Crafts*
May 20 – Kites
Music Island Exhibit
Let your imagination soar! Spend the day
decorating and flying your own unique kite.
April 1 – Miriam’s Tambourine
May 27 – Rainbow Fish
Miriam and the Israelite women celebrated having crossed
the Red Sea on their journey to freedom by dancing and
singing with tambourines. Families can make their own
tambourine in time for their Passover festivities.
Many parents have used the beloved children’s book, the
Rainbow Fish to teach their children the importance of
sharing. Join us as we read this story and create art inspired
by the book.
April 8 – Monet’s Water Lilies
In this workshop, children will read a story
about Monet’s famous gardens and examine Monet’s use of color and brush strokes
before painting their own works of art.
April 15 – Lou Stratten (3:00pm only)
Join for music and stories honoring Earth Week. Lou
Stratten entertains and engages children with her guitar
and reads from her new book.
April 22 – Yoga (3:00pm only)
During this introductory session, our trained yoga instructor
will lead children and adults in fun, imaginary actions and
sequences that can help increase a child’s balance, strength
and self-awareness.
TODDLER PROGRAMS
TODDLER ART
Our age-appropriate art classes encourage your
children’s creativity and imaginations while you
work and play together. Working with our trained
staff, your child will experiment with color, texture
and patterns while discovering the world of art.
Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:15am
Recommended for ages 16 months-3 years
Series I: March 7, 14, 21, 28
Series II: May 2, 9, 16, 30
Classes are $20 for 4-week series for members and
$32 for non-members (includes the price of admission)

TODDLER SHABBAT GROUP
* Activity is free with museum admission
This pre-Shabbat experience for toddlers and
accompanying adults provide the opportunity to
enjoy singing, stories, blessings, music, and art
projects.
Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:15am
Recommended for ages 18 months-3 years
Series I: Thursdays, March 8, 15, 22, 29
Series II: Thursdays, May 3, 10, 17, 31
Toddler pre-Shabbat program is $60 per 4-week
session for members and $75 for non-members

TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

want a rewarding volunteer experience in a unique
environment. Volunteers will be able to learn the ins
and outs of an interactive children’s museum by
working with museum educators on family programs.

The Zimmer Children's Museum promotes values that
