A Collection of Recipes For
Your Child with Food Allergies
What is Neocate Nutra?
The first and only hypoallergenic, amino acid-based semi-solid medical
food. It contains essential vitamins and minerals to promote balanced
nutrition in children and infants over 6 months of age with cow’s milk
allergy, multiple food protein intolerance or gastrointestinal conditions.
Neocate Nutra should provide a spoonable consistency and is not intended
for bottle or tube feed. Other foods or formula must be consumed for a
complete diet.

Neocate Nutra Recipe Guide
Neocate Nutra is:
• Semi-solid medical food
• Smooth, spoonable consistency
• Hypoallergenic
• Made with 100% non-allergenic amino acids
• Milk protein- and gluten-free
• High in calcium
• Good source of vitamin D and iron

Directions for Preparation & Use
Total daily intakes for children and infants will vary depending on the age,
bodyweight, and medical condition of the child. The suggested serving size is
8 scoops (37 g) of powder plus 2 fl oz of water to give a spoonable consistency.
Other foods or formula must be consumed for a complete diet.
• Wash hands thoroughly and clean the preparation area.
• Fill the scoop provided with Neocate Nutra and level off with a clean, dry
knife. Do not press the powder into the scoop.
• Add the recommended number of scoops of Neocate Nutra into a clean bowl.
• Gradually add the required amount of water while stirring with a clean
spoon. Mix to a spoonable consistency.
• Neocate Nutra should be prepared immediately prior to feeding. Any
prepared product remaining should be discarded if not used within 1 hour.
• To achieve an appropriate spoonable consistency for infants starting on solids,
Neocate Nutra can be altered by adding more or less water as required. A
smaller serving size can be prepared by adding 1 fl oz of water to 4 scoops of
powder. For further instructions on preparation, see product labels.
