Remedies in Labor Arbitration
September 28, 2016 | 9:00-11:30AM EDT | New York, NY
Remedy is often the most important topic for advocates to address
during a labor arbitration case. But, it is an issue frequently avoided by
parties during arbitration.
Join the American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) to hear an expert
AAA Labor Arbitrator and two experienced Labor practitioners explore
the principles of remedy, the importance of focusing on remedy during
the early stages of an arbitration case and how a well-crafted remedy
can be persuasive. The speakers will also discuss:
• Examining monetary and non-monetary remedy
• Requesting remedy and creative approaches to resolving
remedy issues
• Implementing a challenging remedy
• Retaining jurisdiction regarding remedy by arbitrators and
related challenges
By attending, you will gain insight and best practice tips on how to use
remedy to shape the purpose and strategy of an arbitration proceeding
and settlement discussion.
