Nancy and $41 went to the OLRW
PAC. Nancy generously donated all of
her winnings to the PAC.
City Prosecutor, Peter Carlisle was our speaker and had us laughing at his comments
on the foolishness of some of our current laws. He also gave us a snapshot of the
recent murder case he tried and answered many questions.
Helen Kekuna donated a beautiful arrangement of yellow popcorn orchids in a lovely
glass vase to our PAC which was auctioned. Julie Lee was the winning bidder at $40.

Nancy Gallagher won the 50/50 drawing. $41 went
Extra thanks to Carol Thomas
for organizing our table &
taking on the job of organizing
the Candidate’s Fair.
It was great to see Kahala Motoyama at our luncheon. She’s back to work at State, DOT and is almost fully
recovered from her very bad pedestrian accident in 2007. She credits the power of prayer for her recovery.
Hawaii Republican Party Convention
Aloha O’e
Jackie Lowe relocated to Florida at the end of April. We all wish her well and much
happiness. Jackie joined Oahu League in 2000 and will be remembered for her great sense
of humor and a “fun lady.” If you would like to drop her a line, her
address is 21637 Port Rush Run, Estero, FL 33928.
Mahalo
A big Mahalo to Jane Au for the beautiful leis she made for our May
Day luncheon and our State Convention. Her contribution of these
leis amounted to $165 at our luncheon and $510 at Convention! Our
PAC is growing because of her tremendous gift. AND, she came to
the State Convention to help sell her leis at our table.
