run on a purely electrical basis or in
combination with the central heating
system. Virtually all Zehnder
bathroom radiators are available as
electric radiators (the Zehnder Yucca
Asymmetric is shown here as an
example), and even a model which
previously operated in conjunction
with the central heating system can
easily be retrofitted. Zehnder electric
heating systems are graded by price
and comfort in Premium, Quality and

Fresh look, new living feel: radiators
are an essential factor contributing
to the creation of a harmonious
ambience. The disadvantages of
ageing radiators are many: long
response times, lack of heat output,
risk of rust and limescale. Retrofitting
couldn’t be easier: Zehnder retrofit
radiators are simply adapted to the
existing pipework without any need
whatsoever for connections to be
changed or restructuring work to be
undertaken – and without making a
mess. Precisely adapted heat output
keeps operating costs low – a neat
solution for the long term.

comfort ventilation systems
provide an assurance that
equal amounts of used and
fresh air will be exchanged. The
Zehnder ComfoBox compact
energy station for heating,
cooling, ventilation and hot
water production represents
the maximum configuration.

How ventilation works
Temperature
1. Fresh air is fed into the system
via an external wall vent. Optional air/
brine geothermal heat exchanger.
Heat exchangers use heat from the
earth to pre-temper the external air
before it enters the system.

2. The Zehnder ComfoAir ventilation
device recovers up to 95 % of the
energy from the used air and returns
it to the fresh air. This can be
humidified, dehumidified, heated and
cooled using optional components.

rooms as needed and vents used air
to the outside. The air volume can be
adjusted individually for each room.

ComfoBox works
A heat pump and ventilation device
in one, the Zehnder ComfoBox
combines all the building services
required for a residential unit: heating,
cooling, ventilation and hot water
production. The heat pump in the
Zehnder ComfoBox uses nature’s
resources (like the heat stored in the
ground, for example) and converts
these into useful energy – a solution
which is as natural as it is efficient.
