Acer Smart Setup
Acer Smart Setup utility guides you through the server configuration and
deployment process in a few clicks via a simple interface, allowing you to
set up your system quickly and easily. This utility automatically detects
hardware components to retrieve the proper drivers and to configure
the server intelligently from a Windows® or Linux® operating system.
Acer Smart Console
Manage your servers anywhere with Acer Smart Console, a built-in system
utility located on the onboard baseboard management controller of the Acer
AR180 F1 server. The intuitive interface is conveniently accessible through
the browser of any networked client, so you can remotely take control of
the system through KVM over IP functionality. Acer Smart Console offers
out-of-band management regardless of the OS status, providing flexibility
in different system settings and even while your IT staff is away. Proactive
remote alerts via SNMP traps or email can also be set, so your IT staff is
promptly made aware of any irregularities.
Acer Smart Server Manager
Acer Smart Server Manager (ASSM) offers all the functionality of Acer Smart
Console, with additional features and the capability to manage up to 250
physical and virtual devices at the same time. Providing email alerts; SNMP
trap configuration and collection; management for server hardware, OS and
virtual machines; and connectivity to server-specific interfaces, ASSM is the
perfect window for IT administrators. Additionally, it is the only management
software to be 100% agent-less, meaning no extra software installation is
needed for monitored systems. This powerful utility offers management and
alert monitoring for almost any scenario.
The latest version of Acer Smart Server Manager features two new extensions to
help IT personnel take control of their data center. The remote firmware update
extension is a free tool that allows administrators to push firmware updates and
customised BIOS images to like systems across the network.
