Prodata & IBM ICT Seminar on Cloud Computing
On 12th June, Prodata together with IBM had jointly organised a half–day seminar on
Cloud Computing in DoubleTree by Hilton in Kuala Lumpur.
The event which was targeted for C-Level
Officers both in FELDA and FGV Group of
Companies was attended by some of the CEOs
despite their busy schedules. Some of them who

System Congestion in �e Mon� of Ramadhan – A Reminder
In the past years, we noticed that there were tremendous increases in the usage of our systems in
the month of Ramadhan. This was perhaps due to the increase in the number of claims and annual leave
that needed to be submitted and approved by certain date, payments to vendors, bonus payment
preparations, etc..Based on our record, the number of users who accessed SAP system in the month of
Ramadhan in 2012 increased to 1,200 to 1,400 users at any one time compared to only 600 to 800 users in
any other months.
As a company that provides IT services in our Group, Prodata has been working on this and has
taken a drastic step by separating the SAP Applications into two separate servers that is for FELDA and
for FGV Group of Companies.
With this exercise, the load which was concentrated on one server has been distributed into two
separate servers and it is hoped that the congestion issue that had to be faced by you in the previous
years would not occur again.
However, as precautions, we would like to advise you to run those transactions starting from today
rather than waiting until the month of Ramadhan which is only just over one weekaway.
