The 2016 International Fitness Showcase is the ultimate fitness experience for
fitness instructors and enthusiasts. Experience three amazing days of dance,
aerobics, step, combat, conditioning, lectures, workshops and mind/body
sessions that will enthuse, motivate and excite you for the next 12 months
until the 2017 International Fitness Showcase!
Situated in The Horseshoe area of the Winter Gardens will be the Trade Show
so come prepared with your credit cards and your shopping shoes on. A
multitude of companies will be exhibiting to provide you with retail therapy
which includes clothing, music, education, workshops and tours, equipment,
training courses, DVDs and books, mind body formats, alternative health,
rehabilitation options and much more.
THE VENUE
The Winter Gardens provides the perfect setting for an event of this stature.
In the late nineteenth century the prospering seaside town of Blackpool set
about the building of a huge, grand and visionary complex across four and
a half acres of its most valuable estate. Unique to Blackpool and recently
restored to its historic grandeur and pristine glory the Winter Gardens is one
of the most amazing buildings in the world. It’s a spectacular meeting place
in a perfect location with the means to cater for more than 10,000 people!

Yet again the presenters showcased this year are among the best in the
world and have travelled from as far afield as Slovenia, Italy, Australia, USA
and beyond. They have been handpicked to provide you with the most
amazing mix of styles, formats and personalities. Home grown talent is also
comprehensively represented with top UK presenters plus companies such
as Athleticum Spinning, Beachbody LIVE, Blackpool Council, BootyBarre,
Bounce DanceFit, BurleX Fitness, Chek Europe, Cherry Baker & Co,
Clubbercise, Dance Activ-8, Gymcube, Michael King Pilates, MOSSA UK,
Physical Company, Piloxing, Pound, Sosa Dance, TRAIN Fitness & Xpert
Fitness. To support and nurture new talent in the industry we also have
a stream of new to IFS presenters who will be showcasing their talents
throughout the weekend.
THE TIMETABLE
With 300 sessions to choose from there is something to suit everyone’s
needs. We suggest you study the programme on the centre pages very
carefully (which is colour coded to help plan your weekend) and choose 3
sessions for each hour that you wish to take part. Then carefully read and
complete the enclosed Session Selection Sheet and return it to us as soon as
possible. Remember, the sooner you return and we receive your completed
form, the more likely you are to get your first choices!
THE ORGANISERS

The International Fitness Showcase is
organised and run by Chrysalis Promotions
Limited. The men behind this organisation are
two active fitness presenters in their own right:
Ceri Hannan and Steve Watson. Between them
they have over 50 years’ experience in the
Health and Fitness industry (Yes they really are
that old!!!).

Under the Chrysalis umbrella they have pulled
together their skills and talents to organise one
of the most exciting and proactive Health and
Fitness events in the Fitness calendar: The
International Fitness Showcase!
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
As ever the evening entertainment is as exciting as the day time activities.
Friday evening is your chance to meet your favourite presenters at the FREE
TO ALL DELEGATES WELCOME PARTY in The Windsor Bar. This is the
perfect way to get the weekend off to a flying start.
On Saturday we have the 12th Anniversary Chrysalis Promotions Gala
Awards Dinner and Dance set in the wonderful Spanish Hall. This will be your
chance to unwind after the day’s activities with a 3 course meal, interactive
entertainment and an awards ceremony to recognise the talent and pioneers

The Gala Dinner is followed by the Pure Energy IFS Party which is FREE TO
ALL DELEGATES! This kicks off at 9pm with pre party drinks in the Baronial

an important part of any exercise or training program although often applied

tension in your body while helping you to engage the muscles you want to
use in Pilates. Tips include how to find your abs through spinal alignment,
how to strengthen your neck without tension and finishes with the first
exercise in Pilates, the 100. It’s a gentle session you can do every day!

Michael brings his programme which is a combination of dance based
movements and stretching. The movements are also designed to
use focus of the upper body both for mobility and stability work using
the balls. Combinations which are used to specific choreographed
tracks helps motivate the class into working towards a longer leaner
and more flexible body.
1. Read through the complete programme
very carefully and make a note of your
initial selections.
2. Compare your choices with the relevant
days schedule to ensure you are not double
booking in the same hour.
3. Having finalised your choices write the
reference number on your ‘Session Selection
Sheet’, make a copy for your records and
then return it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
so your selections can be processed or
BOOK ONLINE!
4. Each room has a stipulated capacity so we
ask you to make your first, second and third
choices in order of preference in case the
session you choose has already been filled.
5. If you do not show a second or third choice
we will automatically assume you have no
other preference and your ticket will state
‘No Session Selection’ for that hour.

practice with the addition of a new easy to use resistance band. Integrated
into each movement, this toning tool provides extra resistance and activates
additional muscles to help you slim and sculpt quickly come try this new
piece of equipment.

XPERT Pole & Aerial Fitness has created a Flexibility Flow program designed
to help you stretch and increase your flexibility safely and effectively. This class
is for all abilities, you do not need to be flexible to enjoy this session as the
class is geared towards beginners who are brand new to stretching and also
towards advanced clients, preparing them for extreme flexibility. This multilevel Flexibility Flow will focus on mobility stretching exercises encouraging

This session will focus on using the Aerial Silks as a conditioning tool. The
XPERT Team will teach you how to manoeuvre with the silks, including

This session puts the DANCE back in pole dance! Pole FLOW focuses on
the fun, dance elements of pole fitness. Bring out your inner diva as you

– The XPERT Trainers will lead you through a choreographed dance routine
that works your body from head to toe incorporating balance, strength,

lower body as well as your core. Learn how to use the pole for a total body
workout that includes pull-ups, crunches, squats, climbs and more! This one
of a kind nonstop workout will incorporate elements of balance, strength and
coordination.

dance together. Aerial Hoop is a challenging workout that builds strength,. Aerial Hoop combines body weight training with co- ordination and flexibility
designed to transform your upper and lower body as well as your core. The
XPERT trainers will lead you through upper body conditioning exercises, the
basic tricks and work on a flow to combine them together.
