The wonders of Abaco have captivated it's many inhabitants from the Lucayan
Indians to the Loyalists to our present day Bahamians. Calm waters, warm breezes and
panoramic beauty make this a paradise for all.
Abaco is made up of a chain of
islands located in The Bahamas.
It is the second largest chain and is
scattered over some 140 square
miles in the Atlantic.
The coastlines are scalloped with
bays, coves and protected
harbors. Great Abaco Island and
Little Abaco serve as the
"mainland."
Marsh Harbour has a lively downtown area with all city amenities. Treasure Cay boasts
miles of pristine beaches, including one of the top 10 beaches in the world.
Elbow Cay and Green Turtle Cay are old English loyalist settlements, where you’ll find
beautifully preserved colonial architecture. Guana Cay is famous for Sunday barbecues
atop the island's tall sand dune, which overlook a magnificent 7-mile–long beach.
These islands are a dream for boaters
and fishermen
Tackling a blue
marlin, sailfish or
even a tuna in our
crystal clear blue
waters is a must for
the fishing
enthusiast!
Abaco is the boat building capital of The Bahamas. Man ‘O’ War Cay is famed for its
Master boat builders.
There is a 18 hole championship golf course
located in Treasure Cay , Abaco, for the avid golfer.
There are several other resorts and marinas on the “mainland” and its cays for you to enjoy.
You can get away on the Cay of your choice. With just a short ferry ride you can take in Green
Turtle Cay, Elbow Cay, Great Guana Cay, Man ‘O’ War Cay or wander around Hope Town.
