DANCE FORUM M. B.
Today this group of contemporary dance artists, bound by a common commitment to
explore dance, is a significant influence in contemporary dance in the Philippines. It has
spawned fresh initiatives in the choreographic art and pursued collaborations with a
wide range of artists. In 1997, it proudly opened the use of a studio-theatre to stage its
experimental work, pioneering the use of alternative venues for dance.
In a style that respects dancer’s physicality and individuality and enables them to bring
their bodies’ intelligence into the work, dancers and collaborating artists come together,
breathe and move together within a liberative space, always zeroing in on the living,
breathing body.
Dance Forum has pioneered the growth of an independent dance community in the
Philippines --- it has taken the path that no one dared to tread --- and contemporary
dance in the Philippines lives.

KALOOB PHILIPPINE MUSIC AND DANCE MINISTRY
The story of the Filipino people, especially that predating the 16th
Century colonization, is not written on paper; it is told in music
and dance The careful study and faithful interpretation of
Philippine dance, therefore, is an important historical and cultural
endeavor, especially in the case of the Philippines where there is
little recorded history before 1521 and where most of what got
written was from the point of view of western colonizers. This is
the aspiration of KALOOB: to know, preserve, present and
celebrate the Filipino soul in music, dance and ritual.

SANLAHI PANGKAT MANANAYAW
The Sanlahi Pangkat Mananayaw takes its name from two coined words, Isang Lahi
which literally means, One Race. Composed of students from various colleges of the
university, the pioneering members believed that they were put together by the Divine
Guidance and Grace of Our Mother of Perpetual Help to be one with the Performing
Arts Group’s objectives in preserving, promoting and developing the Philippine culture
and the arts in the university. They considered themselves as catalyst to propagate and
resuscitate the deteriorating status of Filipino identity amidst the popularity of highly
Western influenced and conceived programs. They obliged themselves to contribute
and be united in protecting the Filipino identity and tradition through their chosen field.

the Province of Bulacan. SIBUL is composed of committed students from elementary,
high school & college levels. Most of them were dancers of the dance drama “Lola
Kikay” staged by the Barasoain Kalinangan Foundation Inc.
SIBUL’s creation is an affirmation of the government and private sector partnership to
support the development of local arts and culture, folk dance being one of the areas
strengthened.
SIBUL dancers are developed to be the core group of champions for the traditional
dance. They are trained to interpret traditional dance and to learn how to blend their
movements with the music played for the purpose.
