"We’re a band from New York, so we try to blend all of the city’s
musical traditions including hip-hop beats, Latin rhythms and
down-tempo electronic. Those are the sounds that we hear
every day of our lives – it’s a prelude to the future.” -Carol C, Si*Sé
“More Shine” is the follow up to Si*Sé’s critically acclaimed debut
which was recorded under David Byrne’s label, Luaka Bop Records,
sold 50,000 units and was licensed globally.
“Edgier than Sade but more accessible than Everything But
the Girl, Si*Se is a bilingual septet from New York specializing
in the fusion of chilly electronic beats with a warm, pan-Latino
sensibility” - Los Angeles Times

Complete Shows
In the same vein as artists like The Cure, The
Chameleons and Joy Division, Echo & The Bun nymen have transcended generations with their
breed of dark and brooding pop music. While
always garnering more commerical success in
the U.K. than in the U.S., Echo succeeded in
charting with several albums in both countries
over the course of their history thus far. Heaven
Up Here (1981), Porcupine (1983), Ocean Rain
(1984) and the self-titled album, Echo & The
Bunnymen (1987) all performed well for the
band. What Are You Going To Do With Your
Life? released in 1999 was received with much
critical acclaim. 2005 brought fans Siberia and
a collection of live albums recorded by Instant
Live.

The Royal Jelly Orchestra have released six albums since forming
in 1995. This CD features nine vocalists performing a couple original
tunes, a few jazz standards and a whack of pop songs, rearranged
to please fans of both jazz and pop.
At radio, The RJO have been particularly successful with CBC,
Campus Radio, and in the GTA, JAZZ.FM91 and AM740 have been
great supporters. Jaymz Bee and his posse are media magnets,
having been featured on everything from Breakfast TV, Canada AM,
Much Music and Bravo, to specials on the New Music and W5.
In print they have had the cover of the Toronto Star What’s On
section twice and features in The Toronto Sun, Now Magazine and
most papers across Canada when on tour. Publicity for the RJO is
handled by Catherine Fawcett at CAT PR.
On-line, this band is everywhere, as all the musicians and signers
have their own sites and email lists...fifty thousand people can be
contacted at any given time!
For now, the key market is Toronto, but The RJO is always up for
brief excursions around the country when it makes sense. Given that
three singers are bilingual, Montreal will be a second key market in
the late spring.

The Band, Jericho (CD)
Considered to be one of the most influential
bands in the history of rock n’ roll, The Band
changed the course of rock music like few
other Rock n Roll Hall of Fame groups have.
From the start, The Band were hailed as
avatars of a new sensibility. The line-up for
“Jericho” included Rick Danko, Garth Hudson
and Levon Helm joined by Jim Weider,
Randy Ciarlante and Richard Bell.

The single “Atlantic City” went to #3 on the R&R Triple A chart, and
the album soundscanned in excess of 130,000 copies. At the time of
Rick Danko’s death, Rolling Stone Magazine wrote that “Jericho was a
largely overlooked gem”. Now, after five years out of print, Band fans
will get the opportunity to find this gem.
Marketing: Ice Magazine, Tracks Magazine, Gold Mine Magazine.
The Band, High on The Hog (CD)
The follow up album to the critically acclaimed
“Jericho” is being re-issued with two additional
tracks. “Young Blood”, which was originally
only available on the Japanese and European
releases and “Chain Gang”, never released
before anywhere, an incredibly haunting
rendition with Rick Danko on lead. Overall,
“High on the Hog” is the most upbeat and
happy Band album ever recorded. After five years out of print, “High on
the Hog” is being re-issued with the bonus tracks and 24 bit re-mastering.

World Party will headline the SXSW opening concert March 15 , which is
sponsored by Paste Magazine. WXPN’s World Café will be taped at SXSW
for national syndication. A two week tour/promo tour of major markets will
follow with the three piece SXSW band. The all-new CD is scheduled for a
May 2nd street date, going to Triple A March 20th (WP is playing the Triple A
convention) including Canada major market dates. Tour will be May, June

Priya Thomas, You and Me Against The World Baby (CD)
Long considered bold and innovative
songwriter, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist
Priya Thomas came to writing songs on her
kid-brother’s nylon string guitar after saying
goodbye to classical violin. Over the course of
three releases, she has built a solid reputation
for her work by defying trends and never
underestimating her audience. A suicide blonde
with an adrenalin-charged stage presence and
unusual lyrical complexity, she’s been likened onstage to a cross
between Blondie, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds or the love-child of
Iggy Pop and Karen O.

"Touches of Polly Jean, Blondie and Siouxsie come together in the
elfin body, shocking white hair and art-school dance of Priya Thomas.
Her music hails from the full-on rock and roll side of punk, but it’s
her moves, angular yet flowing like a staccato ballet, that really grab
your attention."

The Ride Theory, In This City (CD)
Raw. For The Ride Theory, this does
not mean 'abrasive' or
'underdeveloped.' Raw music happens
when a band's message is loud and
clear and everyone involved can't take
their eyes or ears away. This is exactly
what guided The Ride Theory's latest
studio LP, In This City, recorded onto
reel-to-reel tape over the course of
three days. In This City is a 12-song
whirlwind of sing-along sounds that finds creative foundation
in early rock n' roll; yet this album defies trends and retrofetish by sounding completely fresh. The Ride Theory, from
Hamilton, Ontario, plays music that is here and now.

Lil Rob – Twelve Eighteen (CD)
Catalogue Number
One of the first Chicano rappers to
carve out a good niche for himself, Lil
Rob established himself amid the
West Coast rap scene during the late
'90s, jumping around from
independent label to independent
label before finding a steady home at
Upstairs Records, where he enjoyed
growing success. He debuted on
Familia Records in 1997 with Crazy
Life, which established him as a hardcore rapper with a Chicano
worldview. Similar albums followed in the years to come, and he
associated himself closely with the Low Profile Gangsters, a
collective of hardcore Chicano rappers tied to the Low Profile
label. Rob's career took a turn in 2002 when he made his Upstairs
Records debut, The Album. He stuck with the label in the years to
come, enjoying a breakthrough of sorts in 2005, when his
"Summer Nights" single got a lot of airplay and brought him more
national attention than he had ever experienced previously. The
full-length Gangster Classics appeared that same year.
