Southern Italy was called enotria (the land of vines) by the ancient Greeks who‐ long before the Romans‐‐ conquered the area and discovered that it was an ideal place to grow grapes and make wines. Tuscany and her red wines are the heart of soul of Italy and it is here that the Sangiovese grape dominates the blends of the Chianti region as well as being the exclusive grape for the exquisite Brunello di Montalcino reds. In the Veneto in northern Italy are found the delicious white wines called Soave and the unique reds called Amarones. Above all, Italy produces by far the most diverse wines‐ red or white‐‐ of any wine region on earth. In this 2‐hour class, you will be taught about Italy's Red and White Wines. the Park Avenue shopping district in Winter Park. Shoppers
seeking well-known brands won’t be disappointed, and
those searching for exclusive designers won’t go away
empty-handed, either.
