Join us for Pamplin Historical Park’s largest event of the year!
Relive history:
• Experience Civil War tactical, artillery, and small arms demonstrations
• Observe 19th-century blacksmith demonstrations
• Root for Union or Confederates at a mortar-firing competition
• Watch a Civil War military dress parade
• Interact with soldiers and civilians in camps
• Discover how telegraphs, sharp-shooting tactics, and medical procedures were used
Enjoy games and family activities:
• 1860s participatory baseball game, crafts, children’s drill, and laser tag
• Puppet show of classic fairy tales
• Dress in costumes and pose for a vintage photograph

• The 97th Regimental String Band
Enjoy a lecture:
• Author David Jones, through his historical novel “Two Brothers,” tells the
story of the Prentiss brothers who fought on opposite sides of
“The Breakthrough Battle” of April 2, 1865
