New sealing technology
With innovative materials for a new sealing system as well as the latest laser
welding techniques, we have set a new standard for cell sealing and reliability.
This has allowed us to increase hearing aid battery capacity by up to 20%.

VARTA Microbattery is developing future lithium-ion energy storage solutions with
high energy densities and a wide range of applications. Special focus is being
placed on up-and-coming markets and applications such as Bluetooth, ZigBee,
autonomous microsensor systems and energy harvesting.
