SOS: Support Our Survivors Campaign!
The Northwest Arkansas Rape Crisis Center is kicking off our “SOS: Support Our Survivors”
campaign! Our goal is to raise $ 100,000 to keep NWARCC and our services strong in the
face of recent cuts in our federal funding. Strong services mean:




FREE, timely and compassionate 24/7 response to EVERY survivor.
No waiting list for our comprehensive FREE services.
Community education to help prevent rape before it happens.
Serving all of NWA with 3,325 client contacts and 995 new clients per year.
At NWARCC we witness strength every day as we Support Our Survivors. We see the strength it takes to pick up the phone and
ask for help. We witness the bravery it takes to go through a forensic exam after being assaulted. We see the courage it takes
for someone to face their perpetrator (frequently a friend or family member) in court. We work side-by side with colleagues in
law enforcement and healthcare who dedicate themselves to helping victims find their strength. Through every step, we work
to Support Our Survivors.
Help us Support Our Survivors by Donating to NWARCC Today –
There are So Many Ways YOU Can Give:
Online: Join the SOS: Support Our Survivors Campaign! Make a donation to NWA
Rape Crisis Center at www.nwarapecrisis.org by clicking on the DONATE icon.
Old-Fashioned: Find it exhilarating to write a check? We would love for you to mail
one to NWARCC, 2367 N. Green Acres Road, Suite 1, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
Give the Gift of NWARCC: In lieu of giving a holiday gift, make a donation to
NWARCC in honor of your friends and family members. We’ll send them a card
acknowledging the impact that will be made in their name.
Add NWARCC to Your Gift Wish List: Ask your friends and family to donate to
NWARCC in your honor, instead of buying you more stuff that you won’t wear or use.
Donating can make you feel so much better than buying.
Show Up to Light Up the Night: Join us for an evening honoring the strength of our
survivors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4th at South Walton Suites – 1120 S. Walton
Blvd. in Bentonville . There will be a ceremonial sparkler lighting at 8 p.m. Tickets are
a $16 and are available at nwarapecrisis.org or 479-445-6448. Orchestral music. Hors
d’oeuvres. Silent Auction. Cash bar. Inspriational Speakers.
Pass the Plate: Engage your place of worship, school or civic organization to donate
to NWARCC as part of its commitment to our community. Organize your own fundraising effort on behalf of NWARCC and share the joy of giving!
Jeans Day: Organize a “Jeans Day” at your workplace to benefit NWARCC. Each
person pays for the privilege of wearing jeans to work and you donate the proceeds to NWARCC.

Host an SOS Party: Invite your friends, family and colleagues to your house for
an evening of awareness and fund raising in support of our work. You provide the
place and the people and we’ll bring our staff and information to inspire giving.
Sponsor a Session: Sponsor one therapeutic counseling session for a sexual
assault survivor for just $50.
It All Adds Up: Ask 10 friends to donate $ 10 each.
Join the Monthly Giving Club: NWARCC can charge any amount to your credit
card monthly, so that smaller gifts can add up to big amounts by year-end! Click
on the DONATE icon at www.nwarapecrisis.org and check the Make This Recurring
(Monthly) box. It’s that easy!
Corporate Giving: Ask your employer to support NWARCC. If they are making
year-end charitable donations, be sure they are including NWARCC!
Volunteer: We need more people to volunteer, answering calls on our hotline,
supporting survivors through forensic exams, and visiting survivors in hospital
emergency rooms and police stations. To apply to become a Volunteer Ally, click
on VOLUNTEER at www.nwarapecrisis.org.
Invest in Our Future: Donate lunch for one of our volunteer trainings—we
provide volunteer trainings one weekend per quarter.
Donate $ 1 per Day for Calls: On average, we answer 1 – 2 rape and sexual
assault hotline calls per day (800-794-4175). Make it your responsibility to ensure
that someone is there to answer those calls by donating.
