Camfil's belangrijkste doel is om de
luchtkwaliteit binnenshuis te verbeteren
terwijl we tegelijkertijd de energiekosten
verminderen voor al onze klanten over de
hele wereld. We zetten ons dan ook
onvermoeibaar
in
om
de
luchtkwaliteitsnormen te verbeteren.
DE NORMEN
MOETEN BETER
Bij Camfil hebben wij altijd alles in het
werk gezet om het binnenmilieu te
verbeteren. Daarom zijn we er ook blij
mee dat sinds het voorjaar van 2012, een
nieuwe luchtfilternorm strengere eisen
oplegt.
Deze eisen hadden wat ons betreft een
stuk hoger mogen zijn. Ons Hi-Flo XLT7
filter (een klasse F7-filter) bijvoorbeeld
heeft een minimum filtratie-efficiëntie van
54%. Voor een F7 filter vereist de nieuwe
norm niet meer dan 35%. Dit is een
behoorlijk verschil de kwaliteitsnormen die
we al een halve eeuw geleden hebben
bepaald. Hier gaan wij niet aan tornen. Wij
staan niet stil en zullen altijd de meest
efficiënte, energie-geoptimaliseerde filters
maken en leveren.
EN WAT BETEKENT DIT?
Met deze nieuwe normen kunnen filters nu
nauwkeuriger worden vergeleken. Op het
filtercertificaat moet nu de minimale
efficiëntie worden weergegeven. Zo ziet u
wat het minimale rendement is dat het
filter gedurende de gehele standtijd moet
halen én de energie ratingindex.
Camfil zal altijd bedrijven over de hele
wereld de meest energie-efficiënte filters
leveren die de beste en meest gezonde
luchtkwaliteit garanderen.
Ireland provides a sound economic base
for the operation of Data Centres due to
a cold climate. A data centre requires
some sort of cooling system to control
the heat generated from within the Server Rooms. Many of the older centres
relied on power hungry chilled air units,
however a new technique has emerged in
the industry and this is known as “Free-Air
Cooling”. What does it mean?
Basically the “Free-air Cooling” Technique
uses the cool climate as its basis for delivering cool air, this can result in savings
of up to 50% of power consumption compared to the traditional cooling system as
highlighted above.
The air is pulled from the outside through
air handling units and delivered to the Server Rooms. While there is a saving to be
achieved in the terms of power consumption there is also a need to ensure that
the air quality that is entering the Data
Centre is being delivered at an acceptable level to protect equipment.
COST SAVINGS
To achieve high levels of air quality there
are perceptions in the market place that
high grades of filtration are required, however this comes at a cost in terms of energy, product, labour and disposal. When
it comes to Data Centres where large
volumes of air are being moved it is important to take an economical approach
but without compromise to the level of air
quality.
Camfil
Camfil’ss LCC software highlights the opportunities that can deliver by taking the
above into consideration, it does not only
give the potential saving, but will also
give an indication of the level of clean air
that you can expect.
Below is an example of the savings opportunity that could be achieved by using
two different combinations. This calculation shows a site with 45 identical Air
Handling Unit running @ 31.5 m3/s.
This is achieved by taking into consideration the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) or
Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of the filtration system while at the same time using a filter
or filter combination that will not only deliver a low overall TCO or LCC but a high
level of air quality throughout its lifetime.

VOORFILTRATIE
Bij beperkte ruimte in LBK's en waar 50 of 100 mm G4 filters
aanvaardbaar zijn, adviseert Camfil ons superieur 30/30
voorfilter. Het filter heeft een uniek radiale plooi ontwerp en
speciaal door Camfil ontwikkelde media die altijd de laagste
levensduurkosten laat zien wanneer het wordt vergeleken met
filters in zijn klasse.

PREMIUM PRODUCTEN
De Hi-Flo F7 beschikt over een geoptimaliseerd ontwerp van de
zakken, een zogenaamde gecontroleerde media spacing,
waardoor de laagst mogelijke weerstand tegen de luchtstroom
wordt behaald. Gecombineerd met hoge kwaliteit glasvezel
materiaal om uitstekende filtratie-efficiëntie te garanderen, is
dit de premium zakkenfilter om de levenscycluskosten tot een
minimum te beperken. De Hi-Flo F7 is Eurovent gecertificeerd.
HI-FLO F7
De City-Flo XL is gebaseerd op hetzelfde concept als de Hi-Flo
XL-serie met zijn unieke filtermedia en kunststof frame. De
gecombineerde glasvezel- en koolstofmedia, door Camfil
ontworpen, met een zeer laag drukverlies leiden tot lage
filtratiekosten en efficiënte verwijdering van stof, deeltjes en
geuren. De City-Flo is ook zeer efficiënt bij het filteren van
ozon en is Eurovent gecertificeerd.
CITY-FLO F7
Met een geoptimaliseerd ontwerp van het materiaal, samen
met een groot filteroppervlak, wordt de drukval tot een
minimum beperkt en de levensduur van dit filter verlengd. Door
dit te combineren met een hoog rendementsmateriaal bieden
wij het beste compactfilter met lage levenscycluskosten. Net
als vele andere Camfil producten is de Opakfil Eurovent
gecertificeerd.

De CamCleaner
De CamCleaner is een vrijstaande, verplaatsbare, plug&play unit die de lucht zuivert en
daarna de zuivere lucht door datacenters laat circuleren. De CamCleaner is een van de
weinige luchtreinigers die HEPA filtratie gebruikt vóór het recirculeren van de lucht.
Door een CamCleaner in datacenters te gebruiken worden deeltjes of potentieel schadelijke
gassen in de serverruimtes afgevangen zodat de apparatuur beter beschermd is.
Nadat de lucht gezuiverd is, wordt de lucht gerecirculeerd naar het datacenter waar het
wordt gebruikt om de servers te koelen zonder nadelige gevolgen voor de elektrische
componenten te veroorzaken.
De CamCleaner is ontworpen om energiekosten te verminderen en tegelijkertijd de
binnenluchtkwaliteit te verbeteren. Terwijl de CamCleaner de lucht circuleert koelt het
automatisch de lucht. Voor iedere luchtcirculatie door de CamCleaner moet een HVACsysteem 3 circulaties uitvoeren om de efficiëntie te evenaren.
Eigenschappen van de CamCleaner
De CamCleaner is leverbaar in verschillende maten voor verschillende serverruimteoppervlakten. Eén CamCleaner werkt in serverruimtes variërend van 25 m2 tot 2000 m2.
De CamCleaner maakt gebruik van een G4 voorfilter en een HEPA-filter als laatste
filtratietrap (Moleculaire filters zijn optioneel voor AMC).
De CamCleaner is vrijwel geruisloos, dus onderhoud aan de servers kan worden
uitgevoerd zonder ongewenste afleiding.
De CamCleaner helpt niet alleen het energieverbruik te verlagen, maar gebruikt ook
zelf zeer weinig energie tijdens gebruik.
De CamCleaner heeft aanpasbare instellingen. Dit betekent dat, afhankelijk van de eisen
voor uw serverruimte de CamCleaner kan worden aangepast aan uw wensen.
Server Ruimte—1.000 m2
Probleem:
Serverruimte conversie met een totaal van 1000 m2
onvoldoende luchtkwaliteit en inadequate
temperatuurcontrole.
Oplossing:
16 x CamCleaner 6000 tijdens de conversie, twee in
elke serverruimte, evenals een aantal aanvullende
maatregelen in klimaatkamers geïnstalleerd.
Resultaat:
Optimale luchtkwaliteit en temperatuur. De
serverruimte kon operationeel blijven, terwijl de
conversie werd uitgevoerd. Ook werd het
energieverbruik drastisch verminderd.

THE CAMONITOR-DATA CENTRE
MONITORING
WHAT IS THE CAM-ONITOR
The CamOnitor is a multi-parameter monitoring system providing constant surveillance of the environment and rapid detection of any deterioration that could result
in damage to expensive equipment and
valuable assets.
Early detection of humid, high temperature
or corrosive conditions will permit corrective action to be taken before substantial
damage occurs to sensitive computer and
instrumentation systems or electrical
equipment. The system measures humidity, temperature, and the corrosive attack
on two replaceable thin-film sensors. The
corrosion rate is shown by indicator lights
that correspond to the ISA classification of
environments (G1 through GX) for copper
and silver.
Analog and/or digital outputs of corrosion,
humidity and temperature information provides remote alarming, display and recording. The information may also be stored
in the on-board data logger, and accessed
via PC software. The system can also be
used as a high-sensitivity corrosion monitor for special applications. The CamOnitor is particularly useful for environmental
monitoring in control rooms, computer
rooms, museums, and clean rooms.
The Cam-Onitor measures the Corrosion
Level, the Corrosion Rate, the Humidity, the
Temperature as well as the room pressure
which are all key determinants in maintaining healthy server room equipment.

In a data centre the most important aspect
to companies is that the health and functionality of the equipment remains good
as the cost involved in replacing damaged
or faulty equipment can be extremely high
(not to mention the other costs and implications involved if the systems do crash).

OPPORTUNITY
ASSESSMENT SURVEY
The current economic climate is causing a
lot of industries some hardship at present.
At Camfil, we know that companies need to
make savings in every place possible and
it is because of this we offer an Opportunity Assessment Survey (OAS) to assist you
in looking at areas where savings can be
achieved within your organisation, in relation to your HVAC systems.
The survey covers energy, waste disposal
and labour cost, while at the same time reports on the CO2 levels and the indoor air
quality (IAQ). The survey is carried out by
Camfil engineers and is delivered in report
form highlighting if opportunities of savings
can be achieved for you organisation. Previous OAS’s have shown considerable savings and clients have gone on to benefit
from these without any capital expenditure
requirements.
The programme takes into consideration all
items and does not just focus on the price
of the Air Filters, as these are only approximately 15% of the total Life Cycle Costs.
