manufacturing is a pillar of the local

of Huron’s manufacturers are small,
employing fewer than 50 people.

Huron County’s manufacturing sector has come together in a progressive alliance known as the Huron
Manufacturing Association. This association, spearheaded by Huron’s industrial and community leaders, has
started to pay off handsomely in terms of greater awareness, community support and further growth for the
region’s manufacturing sector.
While Huron’s companies may be small, collectively they are mighty. They know through experience how to
overcome the disadvantages of scale through collaboration and networking. Over the long-term, these efforts
will ensure Huron’s manufacturing sector continues to be at the forefront of innovation and competitiveness
based on the inherent expertise of its entrepreneurs, and skills of its workforce.
A MESSAGE FROM THE HMA BOARD CHAIR
On behalf of the Huron Manufacturing Association (HMA) I am pleased to present the latest
edition of the Huron Manufacturing Directory. Over the years the directory has continued to
evolve to suit our ever changing economy. The printed version is a handy desk-top and portable
reference and complements the HMA website.

RENEWABLE ENERGY NETWORKING GROUP (RENG)
MANDATE
To promote the development of the Renewable Energy and
Energy Conservation Techology sectors in Huron County.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Renewable Energy Networking Group (RENG) is a group
of industry members interested in supporting and developing
the sustainable renewable energy industry in Huron County
to develop green jobs for our area, through networking and
mutual support.
The RENG defines renewable energy industry as
manufacturing, assembling and servicing of generation
and conservation products that reduce the green house
gas footprint and reliance on fossil fuels for homeowners,
businesses and government.
The RENG defines sustainable renewable energy industry
as creating jobs that have a reliable, long-term market in
our area, because they are based on our strengths in Huron
County.

The FANG meets approximately 4 times a year. Meetings
are informal and usually hosted at the place of business of
one of the members. Meetings always feature a theme area
for discussion. Past themes have been product labelling,
government regulations, health & safety and emergency
preparedness.
