Design beyond the usual
The main architect of Discovery Primea
is Kenzo Tange who was awarded
the highest honor in architecture, the
Pritzer Prize. His design philosophy is
continued today by his son, architect Paul
Tange through Tokyo-based firm, Tange
Associates. Among his distinct pieces
are the Tokyo Dome and the Hiroshima
Peace Museum.
The interior designer of the hotel is
Texiera, Inc. This Los Angeles-based firm
holds the distinction of creating some of
the most iconic properties in the world
such as the Regent Beverly Wilshire, St.
Regis and the Peninsula Bangkok.
The attention to detail and design
continues in the hotel’s restaurant outlets
through DWP-Hong Kong. The firm is
also designing the presidential suite.
The aesthetics of Discovery Primea
can be described as both current and
timeless- taking the best of classic
design and modern technology. Comfort,
functionality and style exude in the hotels
rooms, suites and dining outlets.

The bold, light and summery
flavors of Spain, Italy, France,
Greece, Turkey and Morocco
are served in this smart casual
all-day dining restaurant. A
relaxing ambiance caps your

surrounding water features and
an open kitchen highlighting a
brick pizza oven.
The lobby bar pays homage
to the Gilarmi Apartments,
the building which once
stood where the Hotel now
rises. The Gilarmi Lounge
serves Filipino-inspired bar
fare, light snack and draught
beers from around the
world and is an ideal venue
for small groups and cozy
rendezvous.
This cigar and whiskey bar
is named after the year 1824
single malt distilleries was
granted. This legalized one
of the most celebrated palate
pairings- that of Cigars and
Scotch. Other nips such
as cognacs, wines and
champagnes are also served
together with an epicurean
food selection.
This fine dining restaurant
serves contemporary
continental cuisine and
prides itself in the use of top
quality, seasonal products in
its menu, ensuring a
high-level and unique dining
experience. An Enomatic
wine dispenser and Josper
oven helps deliver this. A
striking living chandelier that
incorporates ornamental
plants and lighting fixtures
together with a view that
overlooks the Makati Skyline
