Tour Program
Israel on Two Wheels
June 3-14, 2017
You are invited to join a group of cycling enthusiasts for a eleven day, ten night tour of the
magical land of Israel. Israel is a crossroads of diverse cultures, peoples, and cuisine.
You will see sights spanning over 3000 years of epic history. In a country no bigger than
the state of New Jersey, Israel is packed with history. It is is sacred to many ancient religions; Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and others.
Our tour will take us to sites of historical and religious significance and will provide us a
closer acquaintance with the variety of cultures that make up the human landscape of Israel (Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, Bedouins, and more).
The tour will begin along the beautiful Mediterranean coastline. You will then cycle
through rural areas, ancient villages and walled cities. We will see abundant relics of ancient civilizations, but also enjoy local cuisine and fine local wine.
We will bike through the lush Golan Heights and encircle the Sea of Galilee with all the
famous biblical history and end in Jerusalem where we spend five days for sightseeing
including a bike and walking tour of the city.
The tour will include five nights in Kibbutz style hotels with breakfast and dinner served.
We will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide and a support van. There is some
climbing involved, but a ten passengers van will be pleased to give a “boost’ when necessary. Snacks and drinks will be provided along the way as well as luggage transfer.
