One of our main goals for next
year is to increase the number
of local high school students
participating in Boys State. Since
the University of Alabama is
hosting Boys State, we should have
a large representation from our
local community.
Our warmest appreciation to
The Douglas Agency www.DouglasUSA.com - for their
strong support of our POST 34,
The American Legion, and our
veterans. You are second to none!
Thank you.

The American Legion is the nation’s most influential, effective and dependable advocate of
veteran affairs fighting for better active-duty pay, improved housing for active-duty families and
helping to ensure that the VA’s medical system can properly care for veterans.
CONTACT YOUR
STATE REP
We need every member to contact their state representative
immediately because some elected officials at the state level want
to eliminate our state military exception to our retirement pay and
some would like to eliminate the tax exemption for Social Security.
Please call your state representative today and let him/her know
that you are opposing any elimination of our benefits.
