Well it’s not quite spring yet but it’s coming soon. We are very pleased to
announce some exciting new product lines we’ll be bringing to you.
We are now representing Reynolds Cycling Products in the Pacific Northwest. A
name familiar to all in the industry, Reynolds produces some of the finest, most
technically advanced wheels available today.
RZR
There are new products, programs, and incentives for dealers. If it’s been a
while since you’ve reviewed Reynolds Wheels, we’d love to show you what’s
new.
We will have several sets of demo wheels we will be bringing around. Here’s a

RZR
Reynold’s goal for the RZR line was to create the stiffest, lightest and strongest
racing wheel made. Mission accomplished. The RZR are race proven at the
highest level and have been getting tremendous reviews. They are packed with
technology innovations developed by Paul Lew, a former pro triathlete, an aero
expert and a composites engineer. Paul is the industry’s Wheel Guru.
AERO
AERO
The AERO borrows technology from the RZR and is a fast, stable, affordable
wheel. This innovative design approach, features a wider and v-shaped rim that
smoothes airflow over the wheel to reduce aerodynamic drag.
Race Competition
This line offers top quality, high performance and technology, carbon wheels at a
popular price point.

Reynolds recently announced their sponsorship of the Hagens-Berman Race Team in
the Pacific Northwest. The wheels should be getting lots of exposure.
To further enhance our consumer & dealer friendly programs Reynolds is pleased to offer:
RAP the Reynolds Assurance Program, an additional warranty plan a consumer can
purchase that provides complete accident coverage.
Ride2Decide Test Ride Program with consumer incentives.
MAP Policy Reynolds' MAP policy is offered in conjunction with its new pricing and prebook program, which received positive dealer feedback at Interbike in September. The
2013 pricing allows dealers smaller buy-ins and large incentives.
Reynold’s IBDs will greatly benefit from the addition of Travis Erwin as the new Domestic
Sales Manager. Travis is an industry veteran who knows the requirements of dealers and is
here to support them as needed.

E-bikes continue to make inroads at IBDs across the country. It’s the only
area in cycling that projects double digit growth. E-bikes will become a
significant part of the bike industry in this country, dealers who invest in the
category now, and do it right, will enjoy new sales and will be well positioned to
greatly benefit in the future.
However to be successful in this category dealers need to be mindful of some
keys to success. Here are our suggestions:
- Display multiple models and created e-bike areas in the store.
- Test rides need be strongly encouraged, some even use a cycle trainer to give
their customers a feel for an e-bike in the store.
- Promote and let as many people as possible know you sell e-bikes. A majority
of ebike shoppers research online. Highlight your ebikes on your website.
- Your Staff should be comfortable and confident selling the product through
training and using the bikes, some stores have an e-bike expert on staff, a staff
member who has taken a keen interest in the product.
- Partner with an established ebike vendor with multiple offerings and most
importantly, one with full support.
Currie Tech is the obvious choice for those selling and considering ebikes. As
we shared in our Interbike newsletter, the company has been extremely active

These bikes wowed the visitors at the Currie Tech Interbike booth. Engineered in
Switzerland, they boast the latest technology, features and design in a high
performance ebike. The eflow is perfect for commuters or for anyone looking for
a quick, high-performance bike that's both easy to use and incredibly fun to ride.
The bike's fast design is matched by construction and components designed for
a performance ride, including an RST monoshock to smooth out rough roads, a
20-speed drivetrain, internal cable routings for a clean look and Auriga E-Sub
brakes, which have electronic sensors to cut power to the motor and activate
regenerative braking to send power back to the battery. The unique battery is
part of the seat post, keeping the weight perfectly centered.
A step thru model is offered in 2 sizes in white and a diamond frame model in 3
sizes in black. MSRP is $3995.
First ebike to be awarded a Gold Award, given by the experts from iF
International Forum Design.
The eflow was also a finalist at the Last Gadget Standing Competition at
the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month.
I must say the eflow’s design makes this one sweet ride. I took corners faster on
this bike than on any other ebike I’ve ridden. It handles beautifully. Come ride

Here’s a reminder of the 2013 iZip offerings
The E3 Vibe continues with 3 battery options, price remains the same.
E3 Path has new lower MSRP of $1699. Diamond frame now offered in 2 sizes.
New model E3 Compact is a folding model with a 36 volt system and folding frame from
Dahon! MSRP $1899
More colors and sizes come to the E3 Zuma! The men’s frame now is offered in 2 sizes
and all Zuma’s have multiple bold color choices. $2199 & shipping NOW!
2013 Express in White
Additional sizes and colors are also offered in the E3 Metro. The diamond frame will be
offered in 18” and 20”. $2699 retail. New HD basket in 2013.
The E3 Ultra will offer the same diamond frame sizes but retain only the blue color. Sells
for $2899. The Metro and Ultra will sport a new control display system later in the year.
The Express is now $3999 and come in either Black or White in a 46” or 50” frame size.
We are happy to have back an iZip trike. The E3 Calypso has been redesigned with a 500
watt motor and 36 volt battery system. $2750 retail.
Finally, all kits are in stock and Currie Tech has added 700C wheels size kits! Kits are a
nice way to gain ebike customers and service work.
I recently got a chance to ride the new Bosch Drive System that will power the Haibike. It
is indeed impressive! We’ll keep you updated on developments from Haibike and Diavelo.

We joined the Dahon sales team several months ago and quickly learned why
Dahon is the global leader in folding bikes. With over 30 years of experience, the
company’s quality, engineering, innovation, and product offerings are well ahead
of any competitor. The company has further invested in their engineering
staffing and is preparing for substantial growth.
If you are looking to boost sales, the folding bike category is an excellent way to

Dahon Vector Series
Dahon too recognizes the growing ebike segment of the market and will be soon
shipping 2 electric folders. Dahon North America proudly introduces its 2013 EBike models. At $2395, the 37V Mu P8E37, with an approximate range of 40
miles. The Mu P8E48 at $2895, has an approximate range of 60 miles. Both are
powered by BionX drive systems.
The following bikes that are not continuing in their current configuration are the
Mu N360, Vector X27H, Vector P8, and Ios S9. Call us for details.

Accessories are coming, we hope to have a list and pricing in the very near
future. The Airporter carrying bag should be back in stock in April.
Here’s a recap from Interbike on Dahon’s bike lineup.
The anniversary bike was designed to be the fastest, highest quality
production folding bicycle in the world. Sram dualdrive and Shimano Dura Ace
give this bike 30 speed gearing. In addition, Control Tech Carbon wheels, carbon
post, San Marco saddle & Schwalbe SE Durano 115 psi tires, this is one fast
folder for the road enthusiast.
The anniversary replica is a slightly scaled down version with step down
components but still offers the high end performance.
Dr. Hon Mu SL
Completing the new premium road bikes at Interbike is the Dr. Hon Mu SL. A
striking bike equipped with SRAM components and special Vuelta Wheels.
It was nice to learn Dahon was continuing with the best-selling Eco C7, Speed
D7, Mariner D7 and MU P8. Dahon does not routinely change models unless it
makes sense. The above models are proven winners.

KIDS Parents will love the engineering and quality that goes into a Kettler Kids
