We’ve packed the conference with rousing speeches, thought‑provoking panels, and the chance to network with amazing people from all over the country. Throughout the conference, you’ll have the chance to meet new and old colleagues and form lasting relationships. I do hope that while you’re here you get to enjoy beautiful San Diego. San Diego is California’s second largest city and the United States’ eighth largest. It has numerous charming neighborhoods and communities, including downtown’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Coronado, and La Jolla, just to name a few. San Diego is also renowned for its great climate and pristine beaches. For those of you who’ve decided to extend your stay, San Diego has many popular attractions, including the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, and LEGOLAND California. San Diego offers an expansive variety of things to see and do, appealing to guests of all ages. As the SCCE/HCCA President, I know that the success of this conference depends ultimately on the many people who have worked hard planning and organizing both the program and supporting arrangements. In particular, I would like to thank the Program Chairs for brilliant session selections and the SCCE/HCCA staff who have all worked extremely hard on the details of important aspects of the conference programs and activities. Enjoy the conference!
