Bowser-Morner, Inc. conducted a load test on a pre-assembled window well cover at Fox
Lite, Inc. in Enon, Ohio on August 25, 2003.
The window well assembly was attached to the concrete block wall of the Fox Lite
building with the approximate four foot wide by six foot long cover resting on top of the window
well box.
The cover was loaded with 504 pounds of concrete blocks without damage to the cover or
box other than a few scratches.
The center of the cover deflected about 1.8 inches with sixty-five percent of the load and
3.9 inches with the fall 504 pounds of load in place.
The cover returned to its original position as soon as the load was removed.
