Renovate yourself your MEHARI
front seats
During the renovation, the back of the seat will not be stripped, but simply
recovered by a new garniture. ( the back of the seat and its sponge are
uselly in good condition )

2/ Cut, right and left, the skaï which at the
bottom of the back seat pass under the seat.
( so you can avoid the thickness ).

1/ Deposing your seat, and install it on a
table.

3/ Cut all the base of the seat, and depose
the metallic support. Do not keep the base
and the support.

4/ You can, paint the body of the seat with
a brush or a spray bomb.
5/ Fix, with the help of the 3 press studs, the
elastic strap on the higher tube beginning
with the seat base close to the back seat.

6/ Pull strongly the elastic strap around the
higher tube. Fix the straps with the press
studs. 5 width of straps are necessary for
a good comfort.
7/ Pose the sponge on the strap.

8/ Install the seat base cover.
9/ Return the seat, then fix the elastic garnitures with the metallic hooks attached them
to the middle straps. ( you can hide the elastics under the straps ).

10/ The rear garniture elastics are fixed,
come back to the seat and install the front
garniture.
11/ Fix all the elastic garnitures, don’t make
any creases.

12/ Slip the garniture onto the support like a
sock. Then fix the elastic like the seat base
by returning the seat.
13/ Very good, your renovation is finished.
