Travel through the ages
Picturesque landscape
Winding its way from Mannheim to Prague, Castle Road
links more than 90 formidable castles and splendid
residences and is one of the most traditional and wellknown vacation roads in Germany. You encounter
destinations of world-renown such as Heidelberg Castle
and medieval Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
The famous Castle Road leads you towards imposing
castles and picturesque towns. Driving along the en
chanting Castle Road in your hire car, you can discover
the castles and palaces that this region offers and stop
overnight in stylishly furnished hotels. Enjoy the richly
coloured landscapes as your journey takes you through
another age.

the night in Hotel Grenzhof or Holländer Hof. Enjoy your first evening and
prepare yourself for the exciting days ahead!
Day 2: Heidelberg
Heidelberg is not just world famous for its renowned castle, Germany’s
oldest university and historic alleyways in the old town, but it is also
internationally recognised as a modern science and business hub with an
extremely lively and varied cultural scene. Stroll through the city to discover
Wald & Schlosshotel in Friedrichsruhe
what it has to offer before taking the funicular railway up to the castle. The
exclusive tour of the castle will transport you back to the times of the Prince
Electors of Palatinate. Return to your hotel room in the evening.
Day 3: Sinsheim
Today takes you to Sinsheim, where you will visit the Auto & Technik Museum
(car and technology museum). Boasting over 30,000 m² of indoor exhibition
space and a large outdoor display, the Auto & Technik Museum in Sinsheim

including vintage cars, motorbikes, aeroplanes, racing cars, locomotives and
military vehicles, to name but a few. Nowhere else in the world can you see
a supersonic Concorde jet and a Tupolev 144 on the roof of a museum –
and you are even allowed to step on board! This diverse exhibition appeals
to everyone – not just technology fans.
Moving on from technology, let‘s get back to nature. Travelling on towards

villages along the way. You overnight in the Panoramahotel in Waldenburg
