encourage a bright future for
the town. The opinion of local
residents is vital, thus we
have produced a feedback
form that we would ask you
to fill in to make your voice
heard.
Your feedback is valuable to us in order to shape
our proposal further. We would love to hear your
opinions and views on our proposals.
Your thoughts on the scheme will enable us to
respond carefully to the needs of Faversham.

The Graveney Road entrance to the estate will feature
a balancing pond set in open space with shrub and tree
planting, establishing a sense of arrival and identity.

Cycle and pedestrian routes will provide safe, amenable
connections from the business park and housing to town
centre destinations, weaving our new proposals into the
existing fabric of the town.

By utilising the existing infrastructure, the new housing,
and employment space connects to the town creating
community-wide benefits. The masterplan also includes
benefits to the wider community including a new health
centre with group medical practice.

Technical Reports
Archaeology, Drainage, Ecology & Transportation
Archaeology
The place-name Faversham is thought to be derived from
faerfersham ‘the village of the smith’, the word coming
from the Latin faber (Gelling 1978:80) and could imply
late Roman smiths who had a connection with the 6th
century gold and garnet jewellery found at Kings Field
cemetery.

Flooding & Drainage
A Flood Risk assessment has been carried out on the
site at Lady Dane. Projected figures over a 100 year risk
assessment period indicate that our proposals will not
negatively impact the area.
record of monuments of significant historial interest
Ecology
Our proposals will contribute to and enhance the
natural and local environment by, amongst other things,
minimising impacts on biodiversity and providing net
gains in biodiversity where possible, contributing to the
the areas natural biodiversity.

Transportation
A full transport assessment has been conducted on the
site at Lady Dane in conjunction with Kent Highways. The
result of our proposals are negligible on the functioning
of the road network.

Dane Business Park
Our proposals seek to provide facilities for both business start-ups and established
businesses through a mix of office, industrial and ancillary space.
Through construction, services and light industry we envisage long-term business
relationships being created not only with Faversham but, due to its location and
access to London and Dover, with European and International counterparts.
Through our provisions for industry and innovation, we estimate the creation of
350 jobs.
