Low
High
Due to the Non Spherical Micro droplet Morphology
Result in very low haze product.
Stable
Matrix structure – PVA. Highly stable polymer matrix which
results to the stability of electro optical properties of
product with time.
Possible
Due to micro-emulsion process, almost all dyes remain in
the LC droplets, which allows for making colored film
products with high optical contrast.
Due to the Spherical Micro droplet Morphology,
always requires matrix & LC index-matching
improvements
Not Stable
Matrix Structure – UV cureable. Matrix is not
cured more than 90%-95%, results to residual
plasticization and change of electro optical
properties of product with time.
Not Possible
Due to absorption of UV light by dye, curing of
matrix is not possible and making colored films
are not practical.

 QUALITY
 MASS PRODUCTION
 INNOVATION
 Quality and Reliability - Citala’s chemical emulsion and our production processes are designed to provide long
lasting environmental stability (over 20 years) while maintaining superior optical and electrical performance.
 Innovation/Development - Citala is the inventor and developer of the switchable film, and moreover the dark
switchable film. Our technology enables the capability to support a variety of colors and extremely fast switching
speed of just a few milliseconds. Superior development capabilities and technology enables the Company to not
only customize films for the glass industry but also to target a wide range of other products.
 Mass Production Capabilities - Citala developed a roll-to-roll process flow and already mass produces films.
The process is very scalable, allowing the Company to quickly accommodate almost any projected demand.
 Strategic Alliances - Worldwide leading companies such as GE, Haier, Nike, Microsoft, Guardian, Schott Glass
and many others already partnered with Citala.
