The Magic Eye fatigue detector is an innovative system capable
of detecting when the driver is tired and alerting the driver of
the danger, so as to avoid possible accidents.
THE MOST

MagicEye is the brand that
encompasses the safety systems
designed by Datik for buses and
industrial vehicles.
The Magic Eye fatigue detector measures the
frequency and speed of the blinking of the
driver. The system analyses the data received
relating to this movement, and is able to detect
changes and abnormalities from which it can
establish whether the driver is tired or not.
THE
ALL-SEEING EYE
A camera, located on the dashboard of the
bus, captures images of the driver’s eyes. The
system will analysie these images and identify
the presence (or not) of the danger.In addition,
an infrared light (IEC60825-1 and IEC62471)
allows the system to work both during the day
and at night, when there is limited light.

If the system senses danger, Magic Eye alerts
the driver via a vibration in the seat, warning
the driver of his tiredness.

OBSTACLE DETECTOR
Magic Eye Lane departure is a system able to detect a sudden
change of lane by the vehicle, which could be due to distraction
of the driver.

CONTINUOUS
ANALYSIS
The system is able to differentiate
between the change or invasion of a lane
and distinguishes between a smooth or a
sudden movement that causes the bus to
invade the oncoming lane and then return
to the lane in which it is travelling.
The system measures the distance and
speed of objects surrounding the vehicle,
evaluating the status of the vehicle’s
environment approximately 15 times per
second. It determines whether or not
there is a risk of rear-end collision, taking
into account its own speed and path.
AUTO-CALIBRATED
FOR YOUR COMFORT
The detection of lane departures is
carried out using a front, self-calibrating
camera. This feature, combined with the
disposable component where the system
is fitted, simplifies the changing of the
front windscreen.

Magic Eye Obstacle detector warns and alerts the driver when
the vehicle in front does not maintain the regulatory safety
distance.

The front camera captures images of
the road and processes these using
computer vision techniques. At the same
time, the system reads the status of the
indicators to determine whether or not
the manoeuvre has been signalled and the
change was intentional.

IN THE FRONTAL AREA
A radar with a high range capacity which
is activated when vehicle speed exceeds
60km/h is alert to any danger at hand. A
camera that can assist the radar in urban
environments can also be added.

At the moment that an alert is detected,
the system warns the driver by vibrating the
seat. If the driver invades the left lane, the
seat vibrates on the left side, and if the driver
invades the right lane, the seat vibrates on
the right side.
The system warns by the vibration of the
driver’s seat if the distance to the vehicle
in front is less than the recommended
distance.
