The Entrance Examination and Interview for
admission into Igbinedion Secondary School, Benin City, for
the 2011/2012 session will take place at 9.00am prompt on
Saturday, 19th March, 2011. Suitably qualified candidates
who should be currently in primary 5/6 and at least 10 years
old by 1st September 2011 will be considered for admission
into BASIC 7 (JSS 1).
It is compulsory for all students entering Igbinedion
Secondary School to be boarders.

The Igbinedion School Scholarship is the most coveted
Academic Scholarship in Nigeria. Each year, the best two
candidates (Male and Female) in the Entrance Examination
are offered full scholarship which covers tuition throughout
the six-year course of the Junior and Senior Secondary
Schools.

The school has a 1000-capacity Interdenominational
Chapel where our Christian students worship. Baptism and
Confirmation services are conducted for members of the
Catholic Faith, Anglicans, Baptist and Methodist in the
School Chapel.
MOSLEM STUDENTS
Jumat services are conducted every Friday for Moslem
students by the Chief Imam or his representative in our
newly built Mosque.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application Forms (inclusive of the school's prospectus and
information package) for the Entrance Examination are
issued on payment of a non-refundable fee of N5,000.00
(Five Thousand Naira) cash. The forms are issued from the

In order to provide opportunities for those that may miss the
main examination (on 19th March, 2011) Open Days for
Entrance Examination/Interview will hold at
Igbinedion Education Centre, Benin City

The school is co-educational. Igbinedion Secondary School
is an arm of the Igbinedion Education Centre. The Centre
strives for excellence, hence it is generally referred to as a
Centre of Academic Excellence.
