Prabhaav launches Leadership Program at ITM
University , Gurgaon.
Prabhaav launches its leadership program for the students
of ITM university Gurgaon on
9th August 2010 .
700 engineering students will
be trained on this leadership
program for professional and
personal development.
The uniqueness of the programs is the inculcation of
values and ethics which are
built in the course curriculum
to build leaders of good characters with strong value system.
The differentiation of the
programs is created by
developing strong industry
and classroom interface,
where the relevance of the
industry and business
needs is incorporated into
our curriculum.
The final outcome of the
programs will be the making of the future leaders
with the best of leadership
skills at an early stage of
their career.
The first batch of this program was concluded on 25th
Aug 2010. 210 students attended following sessions:






Interview and GD skills
The students have appreciated the program and want to
attend more such workshops
in future.

A session wherein the concept was reinforced through
an activity that made them
think and relate to the benefits of eating healthy food.
Value for eating the right
kind of food and its impact
on our personality.
Right Bite - Session held
with students of grade 5 at
Stepping Stone, Chandigarh
Peer Pressure - Session
held with students of grade
6 at Stepping Stone,
Chandigarh
A fun filled activity based
session that help the participant be reintroduced to the
importance of eating the right
kind of food.
A theatre based session
wherein the students were
given a situation on shop
lifting that had an ambiguous
ending.
They were divided into
groups and had to brainstorm and come to a conclusion.
The students response was
immense and some of the
results were astonishing as
they exhibited a high degree of thinking skills and
maturity level. An interactive session that successfully brought out the learning in a subtle manner.

class and found only a few
students squatting on the
floor with strewn books
here and there. The ragged
clothes and the stinking
smell were all that were
available to start the class
with. She felt very sad
about the poor attendance
and rushed out of the classroom. Is this what she
wanted in her teaching profession?
Fuming in her mind she
came back to her staff
room and thought for a
while. “The poor students
don’t find any interest in
studying; neither do they
have any family support to
come to the school. Most of
the parents of these students
are engaged in daily labour.
Sending their children to
the school is a loss of wage

great dilemma. Should
they go for immediate
benefit at the cost of the
future of their children?”
Arti, the teacher, has forgone all her bright prospects to take teaching as
her life’s mission. Building the foundation of the
students from the poor
families is more of a mission in her life than any
professional challenge. But
can Arti sustain her mission in the face of economic hardship of the students? Can Arti sustain her
own living from the meagre salary that comes from
this occupation?
This is the story of all the
dedicated teachers who are
engaged in primary education for the downtrodden;

Student workshop on Peer Pressure at Gymkhana Club , New Delhi
An afternoon full of fun
and enjoyment is what the
kids who attended the
workshop described it to
be.
They found themselves to
be more confidant in taking back the effective
means of handling positive
as well as negative Peer
Pressure.
Young teen agers identified and realized that they
could learn to handle problems and face them . They
also learnt the importance
of saying “NO”.
As said by Bruce Lee “I
am not in this world to live
up to your expectations
and you are not in this
world to live up to mine.”
Workshop on “Managing Change” for parents and children at IIC , New Delhi
A thought provoking workshop was held by Prabhaav on
the 11th of June 2010 in IIC ,
New Delhi .
The workshop dealt with the
topic “parents as role models”.
It was accepted and enjoyed
by the parents and children
attending it. The workshop
created an awareness amonst
parents regarding bringing up

of children to make them
strong and responsible citizens of the world .
The activities for the children kept them fully involved and drew them out
of their shells.
All went back looking for
more of these informative
and educational workshops
in future.
