President’s Welcome
With pleasure, you and your partner are invited to attend this years’ Master Electricians
conference in the stunning Hawkes Bay.
Napier provides a perfect backdrop to our Conference with its Art Deco style, numerous cafes,
bars and restaurants which deliver some of the best produce the region has to offer, making it the
perfect location to have a long weekend in which members can successfully combine business with
pleasure and continue to build strong business networks with contacts old and new.
Organised business sessions will provide an opportunity for Conference delegates to receive up
to date information regarding legislation, issues surrounding management, as well as interactive
technical sessions on the trade show floor. A wide range of activities ably showcasing the
region are available. The complimentary partners programmes promise to make the most of
the regions offerings also. I have no doubt that first time attendants will be warmly welcomed by
those returning members and an outstanding time will be had by all.
These events are made possible by the generous support of our Master Electricians accredited
partners. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support and ask that this
is taken into consideration when making your purchasing decisions.
I know that Kev, Buzz and the team from the Hawkes Bay branch have put a huge effort into this
event and have a few surprises in store. For those attending Conference for the first time this will
be a perfect introduction to our annual Conference schedule, with the chance to gather
information, make new contacts within the industry and network with your peers. You will return
to your businesses energised with vision and new ideas for future success. This event is an
important aspect of belonging to the premier trade organisation in New Zealand and one that you
will find an invaluable experience.
For those regular attendees, I am looking forward to catching up with you all in Napier this year.
Colin Smith
National President
Welcome
It is with pleasure that the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne branches host the 57th ECANZ National
Conference in Napier.
We invite all ECANZ members and their partners, together with our sponsors to take this
opportunity to enjoy a break in Hawkes Bay, catch up with old friends and meet all the new
delegates.
Napier’s Conference Centre and the Te Pania Hotel are situated opposite one another on Marine
Parade, whilst the main shopping precinct is just a two minute walk from the Hotel.
As with all past Conferences the closing dinners have proven to be a night to remember and this
year promises to be no exception. For 2015 we have a " ............. Theme," so come along to
experience first hand; you will not be disappointed.
We would like to take this opportunity to formally thank all of our sponsors for their contributions
to this Conference. Collectively and individually they are a vital component to hosting a successful
Conference and we encourage all delegates to support them.
So register your attendance and come along to sample for yourself some great Hawkes Bay wine,
food and hospitality.
