2014 BK Employee Christmas Party
Celebrating the Season around the World
“Ti’s a season to be jolly” as the song goes. We
celebrated the season of blinking lights, carols
and gift-giving as one big happy family. The BellKenz family was united as one to revel with lots
of merriment and thanksgiving for a year full of
abundant blessing.
On the 21st day among the busy days of
December 2014, Bell-Kenz celebrated Christmas
with a unique theme of “Christmas Around the
World”. As one family, we have felt the festivities
like we have travelled the world. For the past
years, the celebration of employees from the
Luzon area and Office-based is different from the
celebration of those in Visayas and Mindanao.
But this time, given the best opportunity, our
VisMin colleagues were able to celebrate with us
here. To make it even better, it is the first time we
are celebrating Christmas at our home, Bell-Kenz
Tower.
Before the clock ticked 12, you can see almost
everybody inside the 7th Floor Multipurpose Hall
of our very own Bell-Kenz Tower wearing their
most creative and favorite national costume. It’s a
parade of colors –different people wearing
different costumes with different colors. The
program started with the introduction of the
Hosts, namely Ms. Denise Cruz and Ms. Krizia
Soriano from the HR and Admin Department, and
Ms. Danna Tan from Marketing Department.
Everyone was welcomed with all smiles. The
employees seem all excited for what is in store
for them. Ms. Marianne T. Liad, VP for Internal
Operations, gave her opening remarks to finally
set the ball rolling. And with that, the party
officially started.
The roll call of all departments and districts
was done for everyone to parade their
costumes for the nomination of the King
and Queen of all Nations. To set a very
festive mood, office-based newly hired for
the year performed a song and dance
number. This has become a part of our
culture to see our talented new hires
entertain us. Enthusiastic cheering and
clapping came from the audience for their
spectacular performance.
As we always do every year, raffle draws
brought excitement. Everyone had high
hopes for the major prizes, so as soon as
they were called for the minor prizes, they
felt a little sad not knowing that they still
had a chance to take home the grand raffle
prizes. Sets of kitchen and other home
appliances like convection cookers, flat
irons, rice cookers, were given out for our
employees. For a combined celebration,
employees who were celebrating their
birthday on the month of December were
called in front and received a cheerful and
loud Birthday Song. Indeed, the ambiance
was really filled with the scent of
celebrations.
Sumptuous meals were prepared to be
feasted on. The meals as well are also
inspired of different countries around the
world to make the vibe really a Christmas
Party around the world. Right after dinner,
the party vibes progressed with the
contests prepared for everyone. It started
with The Voice of Bell-Kenz. The line-up for
the coaches was really esteemed. The
coaches were Ms. Pilar Mamon, our

Assistant Product Manager, Mr. Jojo
Laconico, our Key Accounts Marketing
Head, and Mr. Joel Albano, our
National Sales Manager. As the
coaches were seated comfortably on
their Coaches’ Chairs, each blind
auditonee serenaded and tried to
impress everyone. The crowd was
chanting, clapping and often sang
along as they were entertained by the
boldness of each participant. We had
13 blind auditionees but only 11 of
them were able to advance to the next
round. The team of Ms. Pilar comprised
of Ms. Benedicta Cruz from South
Luzon, Ms. Loida Lucero from Southern
Tagalog and Ms. Irene Hesarza,
representative of the Office based
employees. For Mr. Jojo Laconico’s
team, he was with Mr. Michael Daep
from Western Luzon, Ms. Ruth Belleza
from West GMA, Mr. Elpedio Cabural
Jr. from South Luzon, Mr. Jose Santos
III from the Key Accounts Department.
And last but not the least, the team of
Mr. Joel Albano composed of Mr. Gary
Zurbano from Central GMA, Mr.
Rudolph Villareal from North Luzon, Mr.
Michael Jay Rivas from South
Mindanao and Mr. Frederick Olmillo
from North Mindanao. The team were
given a time to talk to be the first ever
“The Voice of Bell-Kenz”.
As we anticipate the next battles and
announcement of winners, the hosts

2014 BK Employee Christmas Party
Celebrating the Season around the World
presents their hidden talents. This year’s talent
show theme is “A Very Merry Christmas”. To
evaluate the content and the x-factor each team
had, we have invited Ms. Sherylyn Solano, our
Executive Assistant, Mr. Kenzo Arabia, our
Head Account Manager, and Ms. Reggie
Genova, our SFE and Capabilities Manager, to
be the judges. There were 7 contenders for the
title “The Most Talented Bell-Kenz Employees”,
namely South GMA team, Central GMA team,
North GMA team, Visayas Team, Central Luzon
Team,
Southern
Tagalog
team
and
representatives
from
the
office-based
employees. The crowd went wild with
happiness, more so, laughter, as they enjoyed
each presentation. We have witnessed the
tension within the judges as it was really difficult
for them to choose a winner. But to keep
everyone hanging and excited, the final round of
The Voice of Bell-Kenz commenced first.
On the other side, as the raffle prizes diminished
with other employees feeling a little down of not
being called yet, the hosts announced that each
employee will be receiving a consolation prize in
the form of cash and still be entitled for the
Grand Raffle Draw. How great was that?! There
was no single soul who left without a prize!
After giving out all the minor raffle prizes, the
final round of the Voice started. All members of
the team sang an entire song of their choice.
With each of the coaches’ advice, the members
of each team sang on the top of their lungs.
Although everyone knew who won as the scores
were displayed, the hosts needed to delay the
announcement of winners up to the awarding
ceremony.
By the end of The Voice, as a part of another
tradition of Bell-Kenz Pharma, Ms. Denise
facilitated the exchange gift. Everyone formed a
big circle and bring their gifts with them. It
seemed that each gift had its own character
because of its shape, how it was wrapped and
particularly, its size. For this year, the exchange
gift is a little different. There were two dices, one
is for the direction and the other die is for the
count. With two movements, all employees got a
grip of their gifts and immediately opened them
with gladness.
line is the presentation of the Department’s
Choice Award. This is an award given to
Sales Force Employees who have been
compliant to the criteria set by each Internal
Operations Department. The Internal
Operations has awarded 14 Sales Force
personnel as they have exemplified in
performing their jobs in line with the policies
and procedures of the company. Another
award that was given was the People’s
Choice Award which honors office-based
employees who have extended excellent
customer service to the Sales Force. Only 5
out of all the office-based employees
became candidates for this award. In the
end, Ms. Reina Simbul, our Sales Division
Assistant, was declared as the first People’s
Choice Awardee. And the last award is the
Culture of Performance Award which is
granted to an employee who excellently
performed during the year as determined by
the new established Performance Coaching
System. There were a number of
candidates for this award but Ms. Christine
Dimaunahan and Ms. Denise Cruz were
awarded with the Culture of Performance
Award for Sales and Marketing, and Internal
Operations, respectively.
After bestowing numerous awards, the
announcement of the winners for our
contests began. The tension filled the air as
the contenders were really excited to know
who among them have won the titles. For
the Voice of Bell-Kenz, the Team of Ms.
Pilar Mamon was proclaimed as “The Voice
of Bell-Kenz” as they garnered the score of
97 points. For the International Talent
Showcase, cheers surrounded the room as
it was announced that the 2 nd place winner
is the Central GMA Team, the 1st placer is
the South GMA team, and the “Most
Talented Bell-Kenz Employees” was
An intensely exciting part of the program, the
Awarding Ceremonies started with the awarding
of plaques to the 2013 1st and 2nd Runner-up
Top Performing Districts to inspire other districts
to do better. Next was presentation of the
Loyalty Awards granted to our eight employees
who have dedicated to their work and have been
in service with the company for 5 years. Next in

awarded to our office-based employee,
Ms. Mary Jane Tolentino and Ms. Ria Iyo.
For the last awards, the King and Queen
of all Nations, the judges were called to
finally give the verdict. Our judges include
Mr. Von Guarino, our Finance and Audit
Manager and Ms. Sandra Agleron, our
Marketing Head. Towards the end of the
parade of Costumes, Mr. Joseph
Tolentino from Central Luzon and Ms.
Aileen Mayol from Visayas were victorious
and were crowned as King and Queen of
All Nations. Mr. Joseph Tolentino was
wearing a very detailed and genuine King
of England costume that matches his
confidence in his presentation. Along with
Ms. Aileen Mayol who was wearing a very
simple yet authentic National Costume of
Thailand but her wits and glamour shined
brightest among all other candidates.
And the moment which all has been
waiting for has come, the raffle for the
Grand Prize instigated. For our Grand
raffle prize, the company gave away
seven 32” LED TV. Of course, everyone
wanted to be picked but our lucky winners
were Mr. Jarral Kasilag from Accounting
Department, Mr. CJ Hojilla from Visayas,
Mr. Brian Victoria from Southern Tagalog,
Mr. Christopher Paciano from Treasury
Department, Ms. Rita Suelo from HR and
Admin Department and Mr. Michael
Enguero from South Luzon. Our VP for
Sales and Marketing, Mr. Henry Lim, was
also very lucky to win one of the seven
32” LED TV.
As Mr. Henry Lim received his prize, he
was also asked to give the closing and
Christmas message. All ears were given
to him as he thanked each and every one
for a wonderful year 2014. He also
announced a very significant revelation.
Ending our year with a bang, Mr. Henry
announced that for 2015 the company will
having a Singapore Trip because we hit,
even surpassed, our 2014 quota! Isn’t that
just wonderful! After a very inspiring and
exciting announcement and message, the
hosts ended the event by thanking the
people who made the Christmas Party a
huge success; the Committees who have
been very supportive from beginning to
the end just to make the Christmas Party
possible.
