The bodybuilding discipline in the 27th SEA Games in Yangon City

The bodybuilding discipline in the 27th SEA Games in Yangon City. Myanmar held
from 12th to 16th December 2013 was a great success with the participation of 6
countries namely: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
This competition is held in every two years in the South East Asian Region with
participation of the National Olympic Committees of all the 10 member countries of the
SEA Games Federation.
The Myanmar Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, a member of WBPF and
ABBF successfully conducted the bodybuilding event at the Myanmar Convention
Centre on 14 and 15 December 2013.
Members of the WBPF and ABBF senior official were invited to the competition. Datuk
Paul Chua, Secretary-General of WBPF and ABBF together with Mr. Hussain Alsaffar,
President of ABBF were present at this prestigious event.
The following officials from WBPF and ABBF rendered their services in making the
competitions a great success:

Mr. Petrus Sinatra Kaeses - (Indonesia) - Secretary - Judges' Committee
Prof. Dr. F.T. Delbeke, Chairman, Medical and Anti-Doping Committee
Mr Alamsyah Wijaya - (Indonesia) - Chief Marshall
Mr. Dennis Tew (Singapore) and Mr. Passang Sherpa (India) as Asst. Marshalls.
The following judges officiated at the competition: Messrs: Axel Bauer (Austria), Wu
Wan Lau (China Hong Kong), Rudy Getteman (Belgium), Nguyen Van Hai (Vietnam),
Santi Chankree (Thailand), Sim Sokmongkolrasmey (Cambodia), Abd Aziz Ahmad
(Malaysia), Wijaya Chandra (Indonesia), U Nay Lain, Daw Ei thandar Kyaw and Daw
Nwe Ni Win all from Myanmar.
Bodybuilders of the South East Countries came well prepared with great physiques
and the two days competition went very smoothly without any complaints whatsoever.
The results were telecast live in Myanmar and a team of I.T. officials from Beijing,
China monitored and sent the results to all major News Media.
His Excellencies the Minister of Sports U Tint Hsan, U Myint Swe, Chief Minister of
Yangon Region, U Hla Myint, Mayor of Yangon, Aye Myint Kyu, Union Minister and a
host of other VIPs attended the event and gave away the prizes.
We wish to acknowledge our great appreciation to members of the Myanmar
Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, particularly U Hla Myint Swe (President)
and U Kyaw Than (Secretary General) and all members of the MBBF for their hard
