Jeremy Scott was born to poverty on the
Cathy Gayle Shook was born and raised
in Altus, OK. I attended Will Rogers Elementary,
Northeast J.H., and Altus High School.
After graduation I married and had two
beautiful daughters, Stacy and Tracy. After my
youngest daughter started the first grade I started college at Western Oklahoma State in Altus.
I earned an associate degree there. I attended
Cameron University and earned my BS degree
in elementary education. I earned my masters
degree in reading at Southwestern State University (at night). I then earned certification in
counseling. I taught first grade at Roosevelt for
three years.
After moving to Gracemont, I met and
married Ricky Shook, a farm man. I taught
kindergarten for “A LOT” of years. I have also
taught the third, fourth, and sixth grades. I now
teach half a day seventh and eighth grade literature and English.

parents in 1978. We had little or no food because my brother was fat and always ate it up.
My parents worked in textile mills after the potato famine of Ireland came about. I educated
myself by candle light in a dirty floor shack in
Biloxi, MS. I walked in the snow both directions
to school. When I got to college, I bought my
wife at a slave auction and she tricked me into
getting married. The last couple of years we accumulated two kids we found outside a motel
room crying and took them as our own. What
were we thinking? I made the fortune I have
today by selling used bumper stickers.

Charles Richardson was born
in Craig, Colorado. He spent his
early childhood moving constantly
due to his father’s occupation in
oil exploration. He lived in Tripoli,
Libya from ages 4-7; Dallas, Texas
until 7th grade; Houston, Texas until 9th grade; Windhoek, Namibia
all of 9th grade; back to Houston
for one summer; then attended the
reminder of high school in Chickasha as his dad had retired there.
He attended University of Texas,
Olympic College in Washington
State, University of Oklahoma, and
received a bachelors degree in
agriculture and a masters degree
in science education at Oklahoma
State University in Stillwater.

Sharon Green was born in Rural Pocasset, OK,
Ryan Moore was born in Stillwater, OK.
I lived in Cushing, OK for my entire life until
I came to the big city of Gracemont which I
enjoy. I graduated from high school in 2007
from Cushing and attended OSU in Stillwater
to graduate in 2011 and received a bachelors
degree in secondary education in history.
In the meantime, I enjoy sleeping,
eating candy, watching sports, and spending
time with my family and friends. I enjoy teaching and coaching and motivating and encouraging students to do the best they can and
give it all they have.

Fern Hardy was born and raised
Carl Edwards, JR., better known
as “Babe” was born approximately three
miles SW of Gracemont on a farm. As a
small child his family moved to two miles
east of Washita. Babe went to Washita
School the first eight years and then came
to Gracemont where he graduated from
high school. Upon graduation he left for
the army and became an 82nd airborne
trooper. He came home on leave and married his high school sweetheart, Melba Allen, on June 7, 1957. Of this union they had
three children, Debra Smith, Janet Hulsey,
and Jim Earl. They are blessed with four
grandchildren and one great grandson and
a wonderful son-in-law. Babe became a
farmer for many years and now is a retired
farmer. He plans to retire from Gracemont
Schools at the end of this year.

She began teaching in Gracemont in 2001, teaching K and 2nd.

Crystal Dyer was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, on Janu-

ary 4, 1978. Ms. Dyer’s parents' names are Franklin Roosevelt (Rosie) and Ann Dyer. She has one sister that is
eleven years older than her and one brother that is eleven
years younger than her.
Ms. Dyer attended Carter School until her sophomore year when she moved to Binger from which she
graduated in 1996. After high school, she attended Redlands Community College and then SWOSU where she
received her Bachelors Degree in English Education. She
then taught at Lexington Middle School for four years before moving to Gracemont to teach and be closer to her
family.

Kay Williams was born in Anadarko,

at G-mont 1-8 grade, moved to Anadarko
9-12 grade, met my husband and was married for 39 1/2 years. I have three children,
Sonya Mitchell, Jamie Williams, and Lindsey Williams, One daughter-in-law, Crystal

her education at SWOSU, receiving
a BS in Elem. ED and Masters in Library Media. She has been teaching
at Gracemont for 20 years.
In the meantime, she has
been raising three children of her
own. She has also acquired three
step children belonging to her husband, Mike Hendricks, and two
grandkids. She stays very busy chasing her children to all of their extra
curricular activities. In her very rare

Linda Wall was born in Carnegie Hospital
Gayle Dyer was born at Gracemont
November 23, 1951. I went to school
there for twelve years and graduated in
1970. Then I went to college at USAO
in Chickasha and graduated with B.S.

Once upon a time back in the year of 1960
a cute, adorable girl was born. Her parents
were so astounded that they named her
Debra Edwards. All along her childhood she continually amazed them with her
high intelligence and her cute little pranks.

she taught three years in Tucumcari, New

Gayle Dyer was born in Gracemont and
attended all 12 years of public school there.
She graduuated from USAO with a BS degree in elementary education. She worked
as a secretary one year at WFEC and then
came back to Gracemont to teach for the past
40 years. she has taught in elementary, JR
high and High school, and now works a half
day teaching math. In 1973 she married Mike
Dyer and they have two girls, Robyn and

Debra Smith: In May of 1960, two people-Babe
and Melba Edwards-had their lives changed forever
with the birth of their daughter-Me. They named her
after their favorite actress, Debbie Reynolds, and
gifted her with Melba’s middle name, Jean. They
were in such awe of her that she led a very sheltered life not seeing other humans until two years
later when her sister was born and took her place in
their hearts (sob). However, she recovered and convinced them she was worth keeping (actually had to
pay them money!).Years passed, she changed her
name to Debra Smith (parents paid her money) and
lucked into having two great kids, Logan and Katelyn, drop from the sky into her life. She now thought
she had help with cleaning...turns out they had other ideas. Both of them made her laugh a lot so she
decided to keep them. Now she has a grandson,
Jay, who makes her laugh too and is much better at
picking up his toys than his Mom was.

Jan Bailey was born in Stillwater, Okla-
homa but spent most of her childhood in

After graduating from Clinton
High School she attended and received a
BS degree from Oklahoma State University. Her first job brought her to Gracemont
School where she taught for 13 years. She
left Gracemont School to teach in Anadarko School where she taught first grade for
21 more years.
Jan was blessed with a son, B.J.

beautiful daughter-in-law, Stephanie, and

of those at Gracemont. She has taught K-12
and loves her ‘kids’. She has learned that
her daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Dustin
Tackett will make her a grandma at the ripe

Many moons ago when my ancestors ran with the buffalo. My grandfather " Dances with Wolves" walked with
his spirit animal and saw Me. He said
he named me "The one who plays with
dogs". I became a military man/traveled
the seas fighting Wars. As the years went
by I came home as a decorated sailor and
made Master Chief rank. My tribe had a
pow-wow to honor my coming home. I became "Master Chief plays with dogs" (of
my tribe). We had a great pow-wow; we
danced, we sang, we slept. In my travels
as chief I came across big sky country,
settled down with a good woman who
makes good fry bread. We built a house
on a ranch and we called the place "Enah
cha horse training". We had a kid and

On November 18, 2024, I was working late at Mercy Hospital when I was called out to a wheat field
on Cogar Road. When I pulled up I saw a man standing with his back turned ,with a long, red mullet. He was
frantically shouting about a cow that tried eating his mullet. It was Chance Griffitts. Luckily the cow didn't eat
his mullet but it did take a chunk out of his ear. I rushed him to the hospital to sew his ear back on.
On the way he asked about Anthony and how he was doing in the Navy. I told him he was doing fine
and that he was stationed in Hong Kong. He met a lovely young Chinese girl and is now having a baby and
coming to visit for Thanksgiving.
Chance suggested that we get together soon and go fishing. As I was thinking about it, I decided I
would rather get together and eat rather than go fishing all day. So we started planning out a Thanksgiving
dinner.
He asked me where everyone was so we could get in touch with all of them. I told him Kelsey was
living in Waynoka with Logan, their two kids, and one on the way. Erika is living in Gracemont with her boyfriend Alex, a dog name Riddick, and a tiny baby named Paco. Shelby is single and working at Browers while
living at home with her 10 cats. Jade is living on her own because she can't find a guy that matches her.
Paige is living in Stillwater with her boyfriend, Stormy. They opened a veterinarian clinic for exotic animals. They shortly realized there were none in Stillwater so their business went under and they were forced
to move in with Mason.
Jacob joined the National Guard after high school but then decided he didn't want to be told what to
do so he went AWOL and is now on the run. Last time I saw him he was living in Anadarko with his grandma
and his wife with a baby girl.
I didn't know where Daniel, Kayla, and Seth were but Chance told me that Kayla and her family
opened the biggest auto shop in Oklahoma. After two years at SWOSU, Daniel decided that college was for
him so he applied to Harvard and is now a lawyer and trying to keep Jacob out of military prison. He said
Seth was now a boxer for the underground fight club and is the reigning champ.
After Chance left the hospital he went out to find everyone and then called me three days later and
told me that everyone could be at the Thanksgiving dinner on the 26th. We decided since neither one of us
could cook that we would have the dinner at Earl's BBQ in Bricktown.
Chance and I went to Earl's early to set everything up. Erika showed up 30 minutes early because
she said she wanted to help and she never did like to be late. Everyone showed up at 7 except Seth. No
one heard from him so we just assumed he wasn't coming. We ordered our food and talked about memories
from high school and what we had been up to since then. About half way through the meal Seth came in and
explained that he was late because his underground fight club had an urgent meeting. We asked him if he
would like to order anything to eat and he said no because he had a fighting match tomorrow and didn't want
food to slow him down.
After we all ate we decided to go to the movies and then to Starbucks. While we were at Starbucks we
decided that we wanted to get together soon and meet each other's families. So we decided to get together
durning the holidays. But for now it was time to get home to our families and cats so we could all wake up
and go to work the next day. `
